I licked my lips as I walked down the hallway of my new school. I had switched schools in the middle of the year because my parents got a divorce and my mom moved to New Jersey, and I came with her. Seemed like a good idea at the time. But now, I am seriously regretting not staying with my dad in West Virginia.
I look at my schedule trying to memorize my classes while I continue to walk. I get about 10 steps before I walk into something hard. I trip over my feet and start to fall over but a strong pair of arms catch me. I look up and see a boy with dark, fluffy hair and the most amazing hazel eyes I've ever seen.
"I...um....I'm sorry I should have watched where I was going." The boy says still holding me by the waist. Gosh even his voice is perfect. I move out of his grip and grab the book I had dropped from the floor. "No, it's my fault I should have looked where I was going." I say blushing.
"Let's just call it even shall we?" He says making me giggle. The boy holds his hand out for me to shake. "I'm Ethan by the way." I take his hand and shake it. "My names Y/N" I say. Ethan smiles and licks his lips. "Can I walk you to class, Y/N?" Ethan asks nervously. I don't respond for a second. I can't believe a cute boy wants to walk ME to class.
I am interrupted from my thoughts when Ethan starts talking again. "Unless you don't want me to. I completely understand if th--." I cut him off. "No I would love for you to walk me." I say smiling shyly. Ethan blushes and takes my hand guiding me to my class. I get weird glares from many girls as we walk down the hall. "Ignore them. There just jealous." Ethan whispers in my ear.
We approach the science room and Ethan let's go of my hand. I already miss the feeling of it. "Thank you I really appreciate it." I tell him. "Anytime beautiful." He winks at me. I lean up and kiss his cheek making him blush. We say our goodbyes and he goes to his class.
I change my mind coming to New Jersey was definitely a good idea.
