Chapter 1 - Chance Encounter

“Kaye!!!!” both Sue and Marga shouted in unison in front of Kaye’s gate.

“Andyan na! Sandali lang!” Kaye yelled back. She was trying to pack her things in her suitcase.

Sue and Marga went in and barged into Kaye’s room where they found their friend scurrying to and from her closet to the suitcase that was on the bed.

“Anong nangyari? Pinasok ba kayo ng magnanakaw?” asked Marga as she surveyed the room.

“Hindi noh!” Kaye answered as she went to the bathroom and retrieved her makeup bag, toiletries and other personal belongings, which she then dumped into the now full suitcase. “Kasi naman 30 minutes ago lang nyo ko tinawagan at sinabihan na mag-boboracay tayo for a week. As if that’s enough time to pack, shower and get ready. So ayan ang resulta ng pagmamadali ko.” Kaye gestured to her room making a point. There were clothes lying on the floor, strewn over a chair, and on the bed. There were shoes all over the place as well. It looked as if the place had been ransacked.

“You’re so funny Kaye. At sa lagay na yan hindi ka pa din tapos?” Sue asked incredulously.

“Tapos na! Finally!” Kaye retorted back as she shut her suitcase and grabbed her purse. “Let’s go sago!!!”

They all laughed and left. Kaye locked her house and they all got in the van that will take them to the Centennial Airport. They’re flight was in 2 hours but traffic was difficult to predict.

“It’s great that we all had the same vacation time. Si Matt nga pala mahfriend? Hindi ba natin sya kasabay?” asked Sue as they headed for the airport.

“Nauna na sya kagabi. Sya kasi ang mag-aayos ng hotel and everything you know. Syempre, mga princesses tayo so sya bahala mag-asikaso sa tin.” Marga winked at Sue.

“Kami ang jolalay…ikaw ang princessa…un lang yon,” she retorted with a smirk on her face.

They reached the airport and unloaded their suitcase. They decided to check it in so that they won’t be so cramped in their seats. Although it is business class, they still prefer to relax during their flight.

Upon their arrival in Boracay, Matthew Guidicelli, Marga’s boyfriend, was waiting for them. He gave Marga a welcoming kiss and hug, then loaded their suitcases in the back of the van. They were all checked in at Regency Lagoon in Boracay. Matt had gotten them a family suite so that they would all be together but in separate rooms. They arrived in Boracay late in the afternoon so they decided to just relax in their rooms before they had dinner.

“Guys, I think I’ll go for a stroll by the beach. Gusto ko lang ma enjoy ung fresh air.” Sue told the other three. She put on her shoes and headed out. The other three were busy watching the latest Harry Potter Movie on pay per view.

Sue was walking on the beach taking pictures with of the views and of the tourists having fun. It was getting late and the sun was starting to set. She was amazed to see how clear the sunset was from the beach that she was mesmerized. She kept staring at the sunset while walking, occasionally taking a picture as the sun kept setting when all of a sudden….
