Alex woke up early Sunday morning. He is in a good mood. He was going to see Sue today which means they saw each other almost everyday of this week. He got up and took a shower and got dressed. He checked his reflection and when he was satisfied with what he saw, he got his keys and headed of to his network’s station. When he got there, he peeked at the rehearsal going on for that afternoon’s show. He knew Sue would be performing since she is a mainstay.
“Okay guys! Rehearsals na!!! Lesgo!” Mr. J yelled, he was the senior vice president of the network and also the director of the Sunday afternoon show.
Everyone got ready as rehearsals were about to start. Alex scanned the crowd of his fellow artists until he found who he was looking for. He saw her at the back corner, near the other door. She was sitting on one of the folding chairs provided for by the studio for the artists who were waiting for their turn. She looked gorgeous in her simple off-shoulder gray shirt on top of what he guessed was a black racerback tank and black leggings. He went around the other entrance and sneaked in through the back door near where Sue was seated. He was going to surprise her until he realized that she was no longer alone. She was talking with someone sitting next to her. He couldn’t see who it was because there was a wall blocking his view. He silently walked closer trying to get a glimpse of the other person when he heard their conversation. He stood next to the wall so he can hear clearly what they were talking about. Sue had no idea he was there since he, too, was concealed behind the other side of the wall.
“Okay naman,” Sue answered. Alex guessed that the other person asked how she was.
“Galit ka pa ba sa kin?” Alex heard the question and his jaw dropped when he realized whom the voice belonged too. He recognized the voice. After all, they were friends. They even hung out together when he was first starting. They played basketball together too. There was no mistake. The voice belonged to none other than Jeremy, Sue’s ex-boyfriend.
“Tsaka past is past.
“Well, for all its worth, I’m sorry,” Jeremy said sincerely. “I never meant to hurt you.”
“May problema pala tayo.
May kanya kanya na tayong buhay,” Sue said nonchalantly.
“Namiss kita,” Jeremy said. “Namiss ko ung mga kwentuhan natin. Namiss ko din ung samahan natin.”
