Chapter 12 - Getting Closer

After Alex and Sue’s interview with Kris, the two have gotten closer. They were practically inseparable. During tapings, Alex would always look for Sue when he didn’t see her. When he doesn’t have a scheduled shoot, he would still go to the set just so he could be around Sue. She is very special to Alex. Although he had admitted to himself how he felt for her and has been doing everything he can to show her just how he feels, Alex is still cautious not to overstep his boundaries. She needs time. He understood that.

Alex and Sue’s friends, however, were not THAT understanding. They knew that their friends have a special bond, an inexplicable chemistry, but they couldn’t understand why Alex was not making a move to bring the friendship to the next level. Marga decided to talk to Sue, to find out what exactly is going on. On Marga’s final taping day, she asked Sue out for a talk, GIRL TALK.

“Mahfriend…” Sue began, “mamimiss kita. Di na kita makakasama sa taping. Magiging busy ka pa kasi may gagawin ka din sarili mong serye. Tapos meron pa kayong movie na tinatapos.” Sue pouted, trying to put on a sad face.

“Ang OA mo mahfriend ha,” Marga answered, “Kala mo naman aalis ako ng bansa or something…pwede naman magtawagan at magtext para gumimik di ba?”

“Ito naman, OA kaagad,” Sue said, pretending to be offended, “di ba pwedeng emo lang?”

“Whatever,” Marga replied, rolling her eyes, “Anyways, ako nga nagtatampo sa yo mahfriend eh…” Marga crossed her arms in front of her and gave a pout along with a huge sigh.

“Bakit naman?”

“Kasi iba ka na…ganyan ka na ngayon…”

“Anong ganyan? OA ka na talaga ha. Ano ba?”

“Ano ba talaga kayo ni Alex? Di ka na nagkukwento sa kin. Kala ko pa naman bff tayo,” Marga pretended to be offended by Sue’s actions. She crossed her arms in front of her then pouted.

“Eeeeeehhhhh!!! May ganon talaga? Wala, walang kami,” Sue said defensively but her face betrayed her as her cheeks flushed pink. “We’re good friends.”

“Kaya pala mukha ka ng kamatis dyan,” Marga said teasingly. “Dahil good friends lang kayo. Eh bakit pag si Matt ang pinaguusapan di ka naman nagmumukhang kamatis?”

“EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Ano ba?!”

“Bakit? Totoo naman eh. Pag nabanggit na pangalan ni Alex, yang mukha mo pwede nang igisa sa sobrang pula noh!”

“Hindi kaya!” Sue’s face turned an even brighter shade of pink that it was almost red.

“Whatever! Di ka nga mapakali dyan sa upuan mo. Parang may kumikiliti lang sa yo.”

“Mahfriend ha! Over ka na,” Sue said as her face got hotter and she knew that it was bright red, redder than a fresh tomato.

“O sige na,” Marga conceded. “Pero serious nga ako mahfriend. Ano ba talaga ang status nyo ni Alex? Gusto mo ba sya? Nagtapat na ba sya sa yo na may gusto sya sa yo? Ano ba talaga?”
