“Marami akong gusting linawin sa yo,” Alex began looking at Sue. “Number one, I really, really like you.”
Sue looked at Alex, her face was a mirror of shock. Her eyes wide with surprise with what Alex just said. She was speechless.
“Number two, sinusubukan kong dumistansya sa yo para…” Alex paused. Sue was looking at Alex, a mixture of emotions apparent on her face. “Para di ko masaktan ang isa pang taong mahal ko,” he went on. Alex continued to explain to Sue.
“Teka, ano pala ibig sabihin ng HMP? Nag research na kasi ako kung saan-saan eh,” he said while scratching his head and a look of confusion on his face.
“HMP? Eh di eto,” Sue replied and showed him what it meant. “Ganon. Eh kasi lagi mo kong tinatake for granted. Ang S-L-O-W mo naman.”
“Jade, di bale ng slow ako. Gusto ko lang malaman mo na…na I-L-Y,” he retorted. “Alam mo ba kung anong ibig sabihin ng I-L-Y?”
Sue was nervous. She knew what it meant but she didn’t want to admit it. She wasn’t ready yet. She was still in character.
“Uhm…I-L-Y teka…i-reresearch ko muna yon. I-tetext kita pag alam ko na, pero” She responded. “Teka, Juice! Kanina ka pa kain ng kain di ka umiinom. Teka kuha kita,” she said and stood up to get a glass when Alex stopped her and pulled her back to face him.
“I love you,” Alex said looking straight into Sue’s eyes.
“CUT!!!” Direk Erik yelled. “Perfect take!”
“Hoy Alex! Ang galing ah! Perfect take daw sabi ni direk,” Sue complimented Alex. “Naks! Ibang level ka na ha.”
“Loka! Hindi noh. Nagpractice lang ako buong maghapon,” Alex explained. Nagpractice ako ng gusto kong sabihin sa yo bilang ako at ikaw, hindi bilang Andy at Jade.
“Pa-humble pa toh. Eh alam ko naman kung ano talaga tumatakbo sa isip mo,” Sue kept on teasing Alex. The crew was fixing the set for the next take.
Ikaw, ikaw ang tumatakbo sa isip ko, thought Alex, then he realized what he just said, “Ha? Ano?” he was panicking inside.
“Sabi ko alam ko tumatakbo sa isip mo,” Sue continued. “Ang galing galing ko yes!!” and she tried to pretend she was Alex.
“Ang corny mo. Akala ko sasabihin mo, pagod ka na dahil kanina ka pa tumatakbo sa isip ko,” he covered up his embarrassment with one of those cheesy pick-up lines you hear on the streets.
“Eeeeewwww! Mr. Lim, wala kang kasing baduy,” Sue said laughing so hard.
“Baduy pero tumatawa ka,” he commented. Gosh! How I love the sound of her laughter.
“Ewan ko sa yo,” Sue said still laughing.
“Sue, tawag ka na ni Direk. Shoot na daw ung scene nyo ni Ms. Jenny Pareno and Ms. Airene Delas Alas,” Julie, her assigned PA told her.
