It has been almost 4 months since the series aired on television and it has been getting top ratings. They are all proud and happy for the success of their series. They continued taping and the bond between Sue, Alex, Matt and the rest of the cast deepened. Today, they will be taping Alex and Sue’s date. Alex and Sue were getting ready in their tent trying to rehearse their lines when they were called to the location.
“Okay guys, start tayo dun sa dinner ha,” Direk Erik instructed them.
“Yes Direk,” they answered in unison.
The crew prepared the set while Alex and Sue changed into their wardrobe for the scene. Alex got done first so he headed inside the restaurant where they will be filming. After a few minutes, Sue entered the restaurant and sat across the table from Alex.
Ang ganda talaga nya, he thought as he gave Sue a once over. Hay, patience Alex. Patience is a virtue.
“Okay,” direk Erik said. “ACTION!!!”
“Jade, toast,” Alex said as he raised his champaigne glass. “Naging successful ang business nyo dahil sa hirap at pagod mo. I’m so proud of you.”
“Salamat,” Sue replied.
“Para sa yo,” Alex said taking something out of his inner coat pocket and handing Sue a small box.
“Ano toh?” asked Sue. She opened the box and found a beautiful necklace. It was an oval shaped, red garnet stone with tiny diamonds surrounding it, hanging on a thin white gold chain. Sue smiled and said “Ang ganda naman.”
Alex stood up and went around the table towards Sue. He took the necklace from the box and put it around Sue’s neck. He then sat back down on his seat and looked at Sue. Sue, on the other hand, took the pendant gingerly between her fingers and looked at it with a smile on her face.
That smile is really priceless, Alex thought. If only it were real instead of what’s written on the script then that would be total bliss for me.
“Salamat,” Sue said again.
“Wow!” Alex exclaimed, “It looks good on you.”
Sue looked down at her plate, trying to hide from Alex’s stare. When she looked back up Alex said, “Jade, ang ganda, ganda mo.”
Again, Sue said, “Salamat,” smiling at Alex.
“Jade,” Alex began, “May I have this dance?” offering his hand to Sue.
Sue looked around, nervous. Alex then got up from his chair and stood next to Sue and offered his hand to her again. Sue smiled and took his hand. The song Ako’y Sayo Lamang, the one Alex composed for Sue, started playing on cue. Alex placed the hand he was holding on his shoulder and held the other hand of Sue while he placed his free hand on her back. They started to dance.
