Chapter 24 - Its Almost Time

 Alex woke up early the next day. He had mixed emotions for this day. He was happy because finally he can take a break from work, sad because his “big break” is ending, and nervous, because he knows that this end marks the beginning of something that he has been extremely anxious about…courting Sue.

He got up from bed and took a long, cold shower to wake himself up if not to calm his nerves. When he was done, he went to the kitchen to grab a quick bite before heading to their final location, the church. He decided to just have a light breakfast sans he throws up everything with all the butterflies that are swirling around his stomach. Instead of coffee, he decided to have orange juice, he doesn’t need anymore caffeine in his body, he’s all jittery enough. When he was finished he grabbed his things and headed out the door.

When he got to the location, he headed straight for the the tent and changed into the outfit that was required of him for the wedding scene. Then he waited for his turn to be made up. Sue was nowhere in sight. The director thought he would get a more realistic reaction from Sue and Alex if they didn’t see each other prior to the shoot. 

“Ano ba naman Alex,” said Kuya Abe, short for Albert, his make up artist, “hindi naman mainit dito sa tent pero grabe ka pagpawisan! Ang hirap mong ayusan pag ganyan.”

“Sorry kuya Abe,” Alex said apologetically, “ninenerbyos ako. Alam mo naman finale na ito.”

“Yun na nga,” Kuya Abe replied, “kaya kailangan gwapong gwapo ka kasi ikaw ang groom. San ka naman nakakita ng groom na pangit? Aber? Hay naku, ikuha nyo nga to ng electric fan.” Kuya P asked one of the crew. 

Alex, kumalma ka nga. Lalo kang mabubulilyaso pag ganyan ka. Kelangan mo magawa to ng maayos okay? Inhale, exhale. Alex said to himself. He took ten deep breaths and finally, his nerves seem to relax.

“Ayan, pag ganyan ka eh di mas mapapabilis tayo,” Kuya Abe commented, “ano ba kasi ang ikinakanerbyos mo? Sa tagal mo ng nagshushooting eh alam kong hindi lang dahil sa finale episode to kaya spill!”

“Kilala mo na talaga ko Kuya Abe,” Alex said to his mentor from since when he started.

“Syempre! Tagal na natin magkakilala noh. Di ka pa sikat eh ako na nakakasama mo sa mga shoots mo. Kaya mag-umpisa ka ng magkwento habang inaayusan kita para naman malibang ako at ganahan na pa-gwapuhin ka.” 

Alex took another deep breath before he started his sentiments..

“Kasi Kuya sabi ko sa sarili ko na tatapusin ko lang tong teleserye na to bago ko umpisahan ung plano ko,” Alex began.

“At ano naman yang plano na yan?” Kuya Abe asked.
