"AND OVER THERE IS ANOTHER ONE OF OUR IMPRESSIVE WATERFALLS!" Papyrus pointed out yet another waterfall, flashing you another one of his famous grins.
By now you were walking on your own, holding one of Papy's gloved hands. You were nodding away at his exclamations, giving him your own smiles.
You had motioned to Sans before as if asking to hold one of his hands as well, but he had politely refused, saying he needed them for something else. You were confused on what he meant, since they were just in his pockets and he wasn't doing anything at all besides walking steadily behind you.
Shaking your head, you continued on, observing your surroundings and listening to Papy's words with both interest and delight.
As you entered another area, it seemed to get darker than before. You glanced around, slightly confused. Why did it get darker? Did no one flip the light switch in here? Not to mention that you were no longer walking on the usual Waterfall ground, but now you were treading on a bridge.
Papyrus was used to this area, so he didn't think anything about it besides seeing if you were ok with being in the dark. Sans, however, starting growing paranoid.
You gripped onto Papyrus's hand tighter, moving your free hand to join your other. The skeleton looked down upon you, giving a reassuring smile.
"ITS OK LITTLE HUMAN! THIS IS JUST ONE OF THE DARKER ROOMS IN WATERFALL. YOU'LL GET USED TO IT, I PROMISE!"
You nodded in response, your (E/C) orbs blinking multiple times as you tried to adjust your eyes to the darkness.
There was a dim light lighting the area around you, yet you couldn't pinpoint the source. The only source of straightforward light you could pinpoint was the steady glow of Sans's white pinpricks that almost seemed to stare right through your backside.
You suddenly halted and stared down at a blue dot in front of you. Papyrus was still walking and only halted when he finally noticed you weren't following.
"WHAT IS IT LITTLE HUMAN?" He asked, his eyes drifting from your curious expression to the blue dot. "OH...?"
Sans was also intrigued, but he soon put two and two together when more started forming around them, almost like a cage.
"* hurry-! * get out of this barrier of circles right now!" The older skeleton harshly started shoving you two out. He got you all out just in time too, for right after blue spears shot out of the ground.
You stared at the spears in surprise and dismay, watching as they disappeared. Something moved, and your attention was now brought to look at Undyne moving out of the shadows, her hands balled into fists.
"OH NO!! ITS UNDYNE!" Papyrus exclaimed, stepping in front of you protectively even though he was starting to get nervous.
"That's right! And I'm not just gonna let you get away!!" Undyne bellowed, forming spears and hurtled them through the air at your little group.
Papyrus scooped you up immediately, jumping out of the way to dodge a spear. The younger skelebro then started dashing along the bridge, ducking as he went.
"* keep runnin' paps! * i'll take care of some of these attacks!" Sans shouted, his pupils fading to look more grey than white.
You were panicky just as Pap was, turning your head to look at Sans trailing behind you, forming attacks of his own to counter Undyne's.
For a moment, you were too focused on the sudden bursts of color to be scared. The mixture of blue spears with the white and blue bones were somewhat beautiful combinations.
