With a skip and a jump you were ready and excited to go. Undyne caught on to your happiness and couldn't help but send a grin your way.
Looking ahead, you noticed that there were those moving strips again, only this time there were three switches on one side.
Undyne didn't seem to mind the switches and continued riding the belt on through, although upon getting to the other side, she noticed she couldn't get through.
A phone ringed from her pocket and the fish quickly snatched it and answered, "Hello?"
"Un-Undyne..! Its me, A-Alphys!"
"Hey Al!"
"I-I know what th-this is about. Th-Those switches you passed turn off th-this obstacle. You n-need to press all th-three." The lizard explained, her voice somewhat having a nervous tick in it.
"Got it! Thanks Alphy!" The warrior smiled, pulling the phone out from her 'ear' and started to hang up.
"N-No no wai-"
Too late.
The captain of the guard stepped on the escalator once again and waited till it looped around.
"Hey punk, are you ready to push these switches??"
You raised your fist in a cheer, your eyes brightening substantially. You watched as the fish responded to your response with a hearty 'yeah!' before preparing to turn on the necessary buttons.
Although, instead of just flicking the switches, Undyne decided to excitedly bash them in. I mean, hey, it was at least effective. However, you couldn't contain your excitement when the final switch came around and almost leapt forward to flick it yourself.
"Whoa-! Hey be careful!" Undyne's eyes widened as you did so and pulled you back close to her to make sure you didn't send yourself off the edge. She stepped off of the escalator and frowned, looking between you and the unpressed switch. "Well... shoot. Guess we didn't get that one. But thats ok! We can just do another loopty-loo, right?"
You nodded glumly, knowing full well that the reason you guys missed the switch was because of your actions. You looked back towards the barrier in your way forward as Undyne stepped on the moving belt again, but realized that the barrier was gone. You two had actually done it.
"Mm! Uunnn!" You tugged at her jacket and pointed back.
"Huh? What's up baby fish?" She looked in the direction you were pointing in and noticed the same thing.
"Whoa! Hey! We actually did it after all!" She cheered and sped along the escalator till getting right back on the path. "Now we can head forward, huh?"
You gave a nod and a smile as Undyne continued on. You both seemed to be in high spirits given that nothing seemed to be going wrong at the moment. Might as well be happy when you can, right?
It wasn't very long, however, until you ran into another puzzle. Undyne blinked as she stared at it, then started to groan. It seemed like she knew what this puzzle was.
"Hang on, baby fish... This puzzle will be... interesting," she told you as she approached the first vent. You hanged on, watching as she started the challenge.
She hopped between them, reaching what seemed to be the end, but seeing that it wouldn't lead her forward, she ended going all the way back again to try again. Back and forth, back and forth, spinning around in circles... That's what this puzzle seemed to do to Undyne, and it was making her angry.
Finally, after about thirty minutes, Undyne finally got to the other side. She fist pumped, yelling out her success and frustration.
"NGGGAAAHHHHH- FINALLY!!"
