Its Show Time!

You didn't know what to think. You've never seen something like this before. You honestly didn't know what a robot was, or even the word itself.

Hearing rapid footsteps behind you, you turned to look just in time to watch as Undyne scooped you up in her arms. Alphys was close behind, coming to a halt just behind the fish monster.

"Hey! Don't touch the human!" The captain sneered, glaring rather hatefully at the robot.

Said bot simply shrugged. "Oh darling, I wasn't going to do any such thing... Its your job to take care of them anyway."

You left them to their conversation to do your own observations. Now that you had a true height comparison, you decided to put it to good use. This new person was taller than Alphys, but way shorter than Undyne. And since they were taller than Alphys, they were taller than Sans and most definitely taller than you. That's what made it sort of intimidating.

"Oh? So you're not taking them to Asgore?" You overheard the robotic monster comment, now fazing back into the conversation.

"Of course not! I had a challenge, and that challenge made me think, 'Why turn in a child as young as this?'"

"I see no problems," it interrupted her explanation. "After all, captain, haven't you already taken care of three human children so far?"

"As young as this," Undyne repeated again, sharp teeth gritting against themselves. She was becoming unamused and probably angry. Very angry.

"N-Now you two..." Alphys started. "L-Lets not get too a-ahead of ourselves..."

"You're absolutely right, doctor!" The robot agreed, its screen shifting to look like a heart, which in turn perked your interest.

"I-I am..?" The lizard looked surprised that she was agreed with, blinking in shock.

"Of course! We shouldn't be arguing about this, but instead be doing this in a more thrilling way!" Suddenly the bot held a microphone in its right hand, its screen flashing different colors.

"O-Oh no-"

"Ooohh yes!~ Come one and all! Iiiiittttssss show time!~" It loudly announced into the microphone, its free hand shot into the air and made a waving motion almost like it was preforming 'jazz hands'.

Undyne didn't look all too thrilled. However, you were in awe. This looked like this was definitely going to be interesting.

Somehow, the area got darker and everyone was pulled into what looked like a battle. A single ray of light shone on the robot, setting it up to be in the spotlight. Everyone's souls flashed in front of them, all disappearing after a few short seconds. Well, all except your soul, glowing a brilliant (F/C) light.

"Welcome ladies and gentlemen, to my quiz show!" It announced proudly, motioning with its hand. "I am your gorgeous host, Mettaton!"

So that was its name. It was a weird one, but hey, so were some of the other names you've heard, so it wasn't like you could say much.

"And we have two contestants with us today! Contestant one is our one and only captain of the Royal Guard, Undyne!" Sounds of applause echoed from its speakers, clapping its hands itself along with it. "Our next contestant is a rarity! A small human child!" More applause was heard.

You glanced at everyone's expressions. No one seemed happy with this besides Mettaton. His - you guessed it was male because of its masculine-sounding vocals - enthusiastic air filled you with (S/T) and made you even more excited.
