In all honesty, everyone's jaws were agape in a baffled manner. Well, except Sans, who you were completely convinced he couldn't open his mouth even if he wanted to.

The box-shaped robot you were so used to seeing had now vanished, giving way to a bot who looked far more human than monster. He was a ravenette, his bangs were swept over one side of his face. The main color of his attire wasn't surprising given his personality; pink. The pointed shoulder pads and six inch heel boots were an eye catcher for sure, but what caught your attention the most was the pink heart located at his midsection. It was glowing a faint pink, reminding you of a soul.

"Don't worry darlings! I will make the human's last living moments absolutely beautiful!"

All of your thoughts were interrupted when Mettaton spoke, now all completely alert and ready for anything.

"Over my dust you'll get them!" Undyne announced boldly, stepping up to challenge the show host with a spear at ready.

"Oh good!" Mettaton clasped his gloved hands. "And I was worried this would be an anticlimactic season closer!"

The surrounding area grew darker as a battle was initiated, everyone being pulled into it. All battlers souls flickered in front of them, the monsters' returning to them while yours stayed out. It, sadly, was like a big, glowing, 'hit me!' target. Not the best thing in this sort of situation.

"* don't worry 'bout the kid, undyne! * i got 'em." Sans hollered out to Undyne, now pulling you closer and keeping watch just in case any stray attacks happened to fly this way.

Your eyes watched the brewing fight in awe and worry. Mettaton was a fighter now? What else didn't you know about this guy? And he seemed to be a good challenge for Undyne too, which was one of the worrying parts.

Mettaton's heels clicked the tile as he swayed this way and that, all the while evading attacks and dishing them out himself in the form of bombs and mini box-Mettatons. Although, unlike Sans and his dodging skills, Mettaton did get hit.

Unfortunately, Undyne got hit too, and she wasn't very happy about it. This caused more spears to be fired, which you honestly didn't know whether that was a good thing or not.

You then started to notice something. Mettaton seemed to be getting closer to the Royal Guard's Captain after every turn the battling pair took. What was he planning?

You soon found out when suddenly Mettaton preformed what would be known as a roundhouse kick, Undyne barely managed to escape her head being smashed.

Your hands tightly gripped fistfuls of Sans's clothing, watching the fight with your worry overpowering the awe you had previously felt. However, Sans didn't comfort you as you thought he would.

Looking up, you noticed the skeleton's attention was drawn elsewhere. Now slightly curious, you followed his gaze and saw a giant screen displaying a line graph. You couldn't read what it was labeled, but maybe it was of some importance?

Sans glanced at you, now patting your back in reassurance as he turned his skull to face Undyne.

  "* hey, undyne!"

"What is it Sans?? I'm kinda busy right now!"

  "* try using 'act'!"

"What??" Undyne glared at him in between attacks. "Nobody ever uses 'act'!"

Sans rolled his pupils. "* there's a giant screen above you located around ten o'clock. * do you see it?"

The warrior avoided a couple of kicks before looking. "...Yeah, I see it. Why??"
