It was all a blur.
One moment you were snuggling against Toriel, sighing in contentment at finally being able to see her again; the next moment you found yourself on the floor, a big knot on your head, staring up at one of the most terrifying sights you've ever seen.
Everyone you loved, everyone that you had met and cared for, was now dangling above you with thick, tight vines ensnaring them.
Your (E/C) eyes shifted from one face to another, reading emotions left to right: Asgore held despair and next was Undyne, looking more angry and determined to get out as she struggled against the vines. Your goat mother was next, her face expressing the same as Asgore. You barely missed Sans, your eyes catching onto Alphys and Papyrus first, which both of them expressed paralyzing fear and deepest regret. Sans's expression, although it gave you quite the spook, was almost a bit depressing, his sockets halfway closed and dark, his grin had faded.
Your wide eyes drifted down from them towards the noise of cackling, the awful noise being generated from the flower before you.
"Ahahaha! I bet you didn't see this one, did you kid? Ahaha!" The thing continued to cackle, thinking this occurrence was incredibly hilarious.
You didn't think this was funny in the slightest.
Your expression changed into one of frustration, but sadness crept in and started invading, your eyes now starting to water. Flowey - you just now remembered that he called himself that - contorted his face into a terrifying grin in response to your growing tears.
"Ahahahaha! What a wonderful surprise, huh? Seeing me again? I bet you thought you would never would! Ahahaha!" He was clearly overjoyed, and you couldn't stress enough on how you were feeling the complete opposite.
"Being a child, I would think you'd be more observant!" He carried on, now starting to monologue. "But apparently you were too caught up in the moments to realize that little ol' me was following you every step of the way.~ Isn't that a fun thought? Ehehehe!"
You decided that Mettaton wasn't the one you had hated the most. It was now definitely Flowey, and you still hated him.
Sans mumbled something, his deep vocals catching Flowey's attention. "Hm? Did you say something skeleton?" His notice seemed to make you and the others turn to Sans as well.
"* i said," the skeleton started, "* you are one freaky plant, aren't you?"
"What-"
"* i mean, stalking a little kid? * and now you're attacking them? * thats a reeeaaal low blow to your dignity."
"SANS, NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR SNARKY COMMENTS." Papyrus spoke up, casting a look towards his brother.
"* what? * snarky comments are what i do best, besides lazing around, of course," Sans shrugged it off. "* besides, maybe if we tell him what he's doing wrong, he'll stop."
"You can't possibly believe that, do you Sans??" The warrior exclaimed.
Toriel piped up next, speaking more gently, "Sans, I do believe Papyrus to be right. Now isn't the time for this..."
Your friends continued chattering amongst themselves, some of them telling others to hush while the others were arguing against that.
You glanced to Flowey and took notice that he wasn't amused. You noticed his expression transformed from an annoyed frown to an evil smirk. You knew this couldn't be anything good.
Suddenly, multiple pellets formed around you in a circle, the pinging sound they made when spawning drew the attention of your friends. They went dead silent.
