"The only people I owe my loyalty to are those who never made me question theirs." ~Joe Mehl

In an unfamiliar room, with unfamiliar people and their unfamiliar attitudes, it becomes more difficult to be brave than it is on, say, the first day of school. Composure and courage are necessary in the way of lasting just a little bit longer than anyone else. Three, however, proved unfit to the task, and they met their ends while giving in to the fear everyone in the circle had.

THE TASK

You guys know the drill! The task is completely free reign save for the one-word theme, and will still take place in the real, modern world in which your character lived - as in past tense. In the past. Remember what we said about not going back: if you wrote a twenty year old last task, you may not write a seventeen year old this task, or any tasks following this one.

Theme: Loyalty

Once again, take this word in any direction you want.

BALLOT CHALLENGE

With a landslide of eleven ballots, this round the challenge goes to Alloy Pirrie! Unfortunately for you, we're constricting your freedom a bit. You, our sad child, must spend a major holiday (say, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, anything, really) alone. That's not to say a hallucination or two can't join you, but no living breathing folks, 'kay, sweetheart?

OTHER

If any of you have any questions about the task, don't hesitate to ask.
