Name: Robin Laverne
Gender: Female
Age: 39
Location: After growing up in the bustling city of Manhattan, New York, Robin began to live everywhere. Currently, she's in London to satisfy her needs of international caffeine aesthetics. There's something divine about drinking coffee from a United States tourist's mug in a European hotspot. Does she plan on staying? No, of course not. But does she plan on leaving? Undetermined.
Occupation: Robin is a freelance photographer, having sold images of a wide variety of subjects; she's entered the market of picturing skylines, concert performers, zoo animals, and even portraits of herself. Oddly enough, her favorite client pays her simply to snatch artsy and impressionistic shots of everyday birds on the street. Robin's art is worthy of phone wallpapers, but rarely framed and hung in museums and homes.
Physical Appearance: Robin has roughly-cut bangs and short black hair, falling to the exact spot her neck ends. Never less, never more. Her eyes, if one is to ask or look closely, are a deep green, though appearing starkly black to most. Robin's skin is that of mahogany, most often greasy due to her inability to stop drinking so much coffee (really, she claims it's the taste, but there's something divine about sipping warmth hours before daybreak, collecting energy when last night seems closer than today). She's a little stout, though her closet is made up of draping dresses and coats to make her torso appear longer- a trick she gained from her mother, when all they did together was watch reality TV and gossip about this and that. Lastly, her hands are wrinkled and aged far beyond her; coincidentally, she's developed a fun habit of always having her nails painted, a youthful conundrum along the backdrop of aging.
Personality: Robin is both a free spirit and a responsible woman. She's always been one to finish her work, yet there's no telling what adventures she'll explore once all of it is done. Oddly, she doesn't like to sleep, simultaneously a night owl and a morning person (and, if there were terms for it, she's also a midday gal and an afternoon enthusiast, though those times of day are poor for interesting lighting- seriously, there's something divine about light when both the sun and moon are prevalent in the sky). Robin believes actions speak louder than words, more inclined to experience something with someone than talk to them about it later; memories override voice. She travels, laughs, loves, and explores the world with moxie and prowess. However, much of this comes from her inability to commit to people, and if any of her friends stopped trying so hard to keep in touch, they'd likely fall out of communication and, subsequently, out of Robin's life. Meeting new contacts has become second-nature, though past names are never forgotten. In the end, it's not the leaving behind that's easy, but the motivation to find something new.
Values: Robin values sensation. Whether it be tasting a new food or feeling winds of the lowest temperature yet, Robin feels most herself when not stuck in routine. Out of everyone in the world, she values her mother, Deena Laverne, who happens to be the only person Robin calls on a daily basis. All of her humor comes from her mother, which is another trait Robin values- the ability to laugh and move on when life seems impossible. She doesn't like anger and anxiety; she also values the people who brighten the world, making it more interesting, lively, and happy. More specifically, Robin values how easy her life has come to be, appreciating the opportunities granted to her; there's something divine about it, something selfless about photographing the world for people all across it to see.
