Spot 12- Shadi Issa

Name: Shadi Issa

Gender: Male

Age: He is 43 years old, but feels 25.

Location: South California born and raised.

Occupation: Shadi is a chemistry teacher at a local public school and has been for the last 15 years.

Physical Appearance: When people guess Shadi's age, it's usually challenging for them to come up with something. Even though his hair is going gray and his wrinkles are prominent, he has a youthful glow about him. His face is a bit rectangular with a light stubble. Shadi's nose is long and straight and his eyes are a deep brown. His glasses are a bit large and his eyebrows are thick, yet put together. Shadi's body is lean with a bit of muscle and he walks with an air of confidence. He's taller than most (6'2) but his hands are a little bit too small for him and his students say "I've gotta hand it to you" as much as possible (but he doesn't mind).

Personality: Shadi is a free spirit who can find the potential in any and all of his students. He's the type of teacher everyone wants to have because he makes learning fun. This guy might as well be named Mr. Confidence. He values himself and doesn't let others bring him down. He is known to be a huge prankster but he only pulls pranks that aren't harmful to people. But even though he's a pretty serious guy, he can connect with people really well and is never afraid to help people out when they need it. Another thing about him is that he loves animals to death, including his dog Wuffles. Wuffles is a very grumpy, quiet, and mysterious dog who gets lost frequently and barks at seemingly nothing. Shadi doesn't care though loves that dog like as if he is his child. He seems put together, but sometimes he forgets to take care of himself, like that one time he stayed up until three AM on a Wednesday to marathon a tv series.

Values: Above all else, Shadi values art in all shapes and forms. In his opinion, of a piece of art evokes some sort of emotion in you, you should take the time to analyze it and use it to find out more about yourself. Shadi is also a firm believer in the power of love.

Other: Wuffles was born on June 13, 2014 and was adopted by Shadi when he was 13 months old. His favorite memories (career wise) are when he dress coded another teacher, when he singlehandedly moved all the desks and teaching materials outside and "lost" the key to the building so they could have class outside on earth day, and when he chugged a gallon of chocolate milk to celebrate his class's good work on their final.
