"Blood is thicker than water, but family isn't just about blood. Family is about faith, and loyalty, and who you love. If you don't have those things, I don't care what the blood says. You're not family." -Mira Grant

Those left - ten of the twenty that'd awoken in the circle - looked at one another warily. Perhaps some already had a plan for who they'd vote off regardless of the next story, and perhaps some would sit and listen wholeheartedly to make a sound decision on who would be next to die (if such a "sound decision" existed).

THE TASK
Here we are again. The task is completely free reign save for the one-word theme, and will still take place in the real, modern world in which your character lived - as in past tense. In the past. Remember what we said about not going back: if you wrote a thirty year old last task, you may not write a twenty year old this task, or any tasks following this one. No going backwards!
Theme: Family
Once again, take this word in any direction you want. We hope to see brilliant entries by the time this task ends!

BALLOT CHALLENGE
Well, wouldja look at that: our friendly neighbourhood dog-shooting (keep on the lookout, Barth), peach-stealing martian! Mister Smith, this one's on you. Your entry must revolve around or be inspired by an episode of I Love Lucy. Hopefully this doesn't anger the director too much.

OTHER
Once again, if you've got any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Additionally, this is the last task before we switch to a bye system, as Task Six will be Quarterfinals.
