~Jazmine~

"Clear!"

"What the hell is happening to me?" I whisper with tears streaking my face.

"You're dying, Jazmine." Devonté states crouching beside me. "They've been trying to revive you. They can't only keep you alive for ten minutes before stall out. It's been going on for about two weeks now. It doesn't feel it like it though."

"What happened? Why am I dying?"

"You know why Jazmine."

"COME ON!!!" I roar.

"One. By. One." A voice says. I scream and a green aura surrounds me.

"Jazmine!?!" A voice calls out to me, but I pull an arrow from my boot and draw it back. "Jazmine don't!"

"We're going to kill all of them. One by one."

"LACHE!!!"

"Jazmine stop!!!" I release the arrow and it hits a tree before exploding. "JAZMINE!!!"

"No." I breathe, my voice cracking. "No, no, no. This is- this isn't happening. This can't be happening." I shake my head. "I can't die now. Not now. I'm only seventeen, I can't. I don't wanna die."

"No one does. They say they want to until they are. Jazmine, a lot of things are going to happen. You can choose to fight through them, and stay strong, or give up. You are a warrior Jaz, do what warriors do best." Just like that, he's gone with the wind.

"Devonté? Devonté come back please! I can't- I can't do this alone." I sob into my hands.

"Then don't." Jared says from behind me. "Stand up." I slowly stand and he looks at me. "How do we handle situations like this Jazmine?" I shake my head in response. "I said, How do we handle situations like this!?!" I inhale sharply and my features get hard.

"Clinically and unemotionally." I state strongly.

"You were born many things, a fighter, a leader, a protector, a warrior, above all, a Huntress. Now man up and act like it."

"I'm going to die regardless aren't I?" I ask in a small voice.

"That is entirely up to you Jazmine." He replies before kissing my forehead and leaving.

"Clear!"

I fall to the ground and place a hand on my chest. I scream and twist from pain. My chest burning.

"Clear!"

I roar and sit up, my entire body glowing bright green. My chest still burning from electricity.

"That is entirely up to you Jazmine."

"Stay alive, please. I need you."

"Clear!"

"JAZMINE!!!"

Everything goes black.

This was how it was to end. Slowly and painfully. Watching everyone around me hope that I lived but knowing deep down my death would be inevitable. What Jared told me was merely just so I wouldn't break and die a weak and cowardice death. I wasn't about to die a coward.

Lache!

No, that wasn't me. That isn't me.

Stay alive

This is not the end of my story.
