Senior Year

He was my Sophomore Sun

the faithful dawn

That followed

the Freshman Freeze

That made my heart undone

He shined so wildly

So naturally

And yet

I didnt love my sun enough

To fight off

His sunset

Then dusk took over

The haze swallowed me up

And then I met him.

My Junior Year Jupiter.

He ruled over the planets

His eyes had stars in them

Whenever we spoke in song

And laughed in bells

He lit up the night with his words

And the touches

That sent me straight to

The moon.

But Jupiter had many moons

And I thought I was the only one

The year came to an end

And so did my pull on him.

Jupiter slipped through

The cracks of the words

I kept hidden.

And suddenly I was brought

Back to earth

I fell from the skies,

No clouds left to catch me.

Now I'm lying in fields

Of memories and stars

I managed to pocket

Before gravity struck me down.

I"ll always stay looking up

at the rest above

But now I've realized

That the Sun and Jupiter

Aren't everything.

They may have been my galaxy

But there are other galaxies out there

to entrance me

I don't need the Sun

and I don't need Jupiter

I am Pluto

At the edge of the end

And the entrance

Of anew
