The Only Girl Better Than Troian

Troian walked into the bathroom. She was in AP Economics, and she really needed a break. Why did it have to be so... confusing?

Troian entered the empty bathroom. She looked in the mirror that overlooked the long counter that held all the sinks. Just then, a girl walked in she had honey blonde highlights, a heart shaped face, and bow lips. Sasha.

"Hey," Sasha said, blowing her an air kiss.

"H-hi," Troian said.

Sasha walked toward Troian. "I'm signing up for field hockey. Want to practice later on?"

"I don't think I can," Troian said. Truthfully, she was busy with an essay to write, math problems to solve, and trying to outshine Torrey.

"What if I told you I wanted to be your friend." Sasha leaned in closer. "We'd be a tight knit group. I'd teach you everything I know."

Troian was so tempted to say yes. Ever since she, Rebecca, and Josie had had that big fight, she'd longed for a group of friends. But she really should really get to know Sasha first.

"Fine," she agreed. "I'll be at Champland park at six."

"Awesome," Sasha says, her blue eyes reflecting off the fluorescent light. "You're my next door neighbor, right?"

"Yeah, your mom lives in the house to the right of mine," Troian answered.

And with a spin of her heel, Sasha was gone as quickly as she came. Troian looked in the mirror hard, trying to tell if the last five minutes were real. She pinched herself. Yep. That definitely hurt. Then, to calm her nerves, she took out her wallet and started ordering her bills by serial number. Finally, when she felt calm enough, Troian walked back to class.
