Looking Back At Her Mistake

Shay opened her eyes, and saw she was in the clouds. How did she get here? She saw the blue sky above her, and white, fluffy clouds beneath her feet. That's when she realized she was floating. Her feet touched the clouds. To her surprise, she didn't go right through them, but the clouds seemed sturdy enough to support her weight. She walked on the clouds, and saw "Will". She raced over to him. "Tell me it's not true," she cried.

He turned around and saw her. "Shay. We were in love."

"Well then tell me it's not true!" Shay screamed. "Tell me he's your twin brother or some other explanation!"

With that, he planted his lips on her, as if to seal it with a kiss. Their lips melted together, and they kissed deeper. It was nice up here in the clouds, just the two of them. After their kiss, Shay felt better. Maybe she didn't need an explanation. But then she remembered the sinister person "Will" really was. She clenched her hands into tight fists and spoke loud and clear. "What did you do to her?"

"Who?" "Will" asked, fake confused.

This just made Shay angrier. "You know."

A playful smile teasingly danced on his lips. "Her."

"Well, what is it?" Shay asked again.

His smile turned into a smirk. "I'll give you a choice. Me or her."

"That's just too easy," Shay said fiercely, feeling a surge of emotions. She was never good with controlling all her emotions at once, and sometimes things got out of hand. She tried to use all her willpower to stop it, but it just wasn't enough. She swung her leg, and kicked him in the gut. Hard.

As soon as she did, a look of fear and hurt crossed his eyes, but that quickly turned into terror. "You!" he shouted, lunging for her.

Shay ran and ran, not turning back to see if he was still chasing her. She ran until the long stream of clouds ended, and she fell out of the sky. Down, down, down she fell. But she didn't hit the ground. Because there was no ground. She just kept falling and falling, until finally she landed. Shay looked around, studying her surroundings. There was a geometry book on the floor, and a queen sized bed in the corner. This was "Will's" room. The door opened, and in walked two people. One of them was herself, she recognized those dark brown curls from anywhere. Then, she froze. The other one was "Will". Both of them climbed onto the bed, and started talking. Shay couldn't hear what they were saying, though. She couldn't hear anything, just the sound of silence. But she would probably remember this day for the rest of her life. It was the day they made out. Shay read his lips, as he said "My mom's not home. Do you want to?"

Shay's stomach churned. She remembered. She hadn't even had second thoughts on it. She'd just been thrilled that a hottie had asked her to have sex- not the other way around. Looking at it now, she saw how stupid she'd been. She didn't even really know him, and he could get her pregnant. Sure, the chances were pretty slim, but it was still possible. People in her family wouldn't have babies in high school. Emily sure wouldn't. Sure she broke rules, but a baby? No way. Shay watched herself unbutton her citizens jeans, and as he took off his sweatpants. She saw "Will" pull off her black T- shirt, revealing her white lacy bra. Then, Shay pulled off his grey baseball tee. They got into bed together. Shay shuttered at what was going to happen next. First, they lay there together, kissing deep and hard. Shay cringed, wanting to cover her eyes. But she couldn't. She had to see this. Then, slowly, Shay lifted her right arm up from under the blanket, holding a pair of brown spandex. She flung it across the room. It landed on top of the dresser, knocking a bottle of cologne to the ground. "Will" laughed, and held up his D & G boxers. He tossed them across the room, and they landed at the foot of his closet door. Their bodies pressed together, and Shay could practically feel the heat. "Will" raked his hands through Shay's soft, silky hair. Shay showered him in kisses. Then, they moved closer, their bodies entwined. Shay got on top of "Will", and they kissed. Shay glanced at the clock on the wall. It was 10:27. At about 10:31, they would start to get serious. The minutes slipped by, the time passing. Shay wished she could stop herself, but was powerless. At 10:31, she covered her eyes with her hands. She couldn't watch. It was too painful, and just plain disgusting. Shay crawled to the closet, and slipped inside. On the inside, it looked exactly like an elevator. Just wanting to get out, Shay pushed the button for floor number three. It dinged, and then went up. The elevator stopped, and the door opened. Shay took a few cautious steps out, not knowing where it lead. Once her left foot exited the elevator, it just disappeared, blending in with the wall. She looked around, and saw she was in a dark, stone room. She saw a pair of red, unblinking eyes, and screamed. The figure moved closer, stepping into the light. Shay looked at her slim figure, small slender hands, and honey blonde curls, and just about had a heart attack. It was Sasha. Except... it wasn't. Her thighs grew chunkier, and her hair was tangled in a rats nest. And those red eyes. In her right hand, she held a small black gun. Sasha pressed the gun up to Shay's left temple. "Say your goodbyes," she said in a monotone voice.

"No!" Shay said bravely, using all her courage. She scuttled backward, and hadn't gone very far, when bam! She hit the stone wall. Sasha held the gun to her temple again. "This is the end." She sounded like a robot, and not like her real self at all. Then, Shay heard a gunshot ring out in her ears. She closed her eyes, and all she saw was darkness. This was the end... of her life. Though it took all her strength, she managed to open them again. First, she saw a bright fluorescent light. Then, a tube that fed into her arm. She looked and saw she was in a hospital bed. What was going on? The door opened, startling her. In walked a woman dressed like a nurse. "Your awake," she said soothingly. "I'll have to call in the doctor."

Shay nodded, wanting to fall asleep. So, all that was just a dream? Robot Sasha didn't want to kill her. Maybe she hadn't even slept with Will. But there was no denying it. She had slept with Will, only who was Will? Now she couldn't remember. A man with grey hair walked in. "Ah, I see your up," he said to Shay. "We still have more tests to preform, but it seems as if you had a panic attack, and then just passed out."

"I had a panic attack?" Shay asked, bewildered. "When? I don't remember this."

"It'll be best for you to get some rest," the doctor said. "Then maybe you'll feel better."

Shay didn't argue, and fell back onto the pillow. In just minutes, she fell into an uninterrupted sleep.
