Chapter Eight

A few days later

It was around 8:30am and I was already awake... For the past few days everyone was being so.... blunt with me, even Jc and Emily and honestly it was getting annoying I would try to make conversations with the boys and they would give small answers so I stopped trying... even my parents were being weird it was so irritating but whatever. Since, weirdly, it was a bit cold out I put on black leggings, an oversize galaxy hakuna matata jumper and red and black Nike air flights and put my hair in a messy bun. I didn't even bother with make up. I headed downstairs and see a letter on the table

'Happy birthday sweetie, sorry we had to go to work super early today and on the way we left Lillie at Monica's house we'll be home pretty late but tomorrow we can do something for your birthday

I rolled my eyes, I completely forgot it's my birthday today my minds been so messed up trying to figure out why everyone's being so rude lately that it completely slipped my mind. I walked towards the door and grabbed my skate board, my little dog, Snow who I had since I was 13 came running after me "Aw baby at least you still remember me" I said in a baby voice hugging my dog, she ran back to the living room and I grabbed my colourful penny board, my iPod and went for a ride. I played Classic - MKTO and started humming along completely forgetting I'm out in public. I'm completely in my own world until I hear someone yell

"WATCH OUT" before I even got the chance to look a girl in a bike bumps into me making me go flying off my board and into the concrete. I winced as a sharp pain flowed through my whole body. "Woah are you okay??" The girl that was riding the bike asked, she was really pretty.

"I uhm think so" I struggled to respond

"Your chin and foreheads pretty bad" she gasped " and your knee, I think we should take you to the hospital it's bleeding a hell of a lot" she said, I could feel the blood dripping down my face and there was a hole in my leggings revealing a huge scratch "my cars just around the corner follow me" I know following strangers is pretty bad but hell I do not care I'm in so much pain.  We drove to the hospital and they took us right in

"Well the good news is that you haven't broken any bones" the doctor spoke after doing a quick checkup, I sighed in relief "but your chin got cut pretty big and deep so you're gonna need a few stitches, we'll need to call your paren-" I interrupted him

"actually they're at work so can I call my brother I don't want to bother them"

"Are you sure? How old is your brother" he asked

"he's 18" the man nodded and started to get everything ready. I called Sam and he said he will be here as soon as he could, god he sounded so worried. After it was done he gave me some pills, bandages you know first aid stuff, I went out of the room and saw the girl from earlier and a really worried Sam and Connor.

"Chloe are you okay what happened?" Sam jumped out of his seat

"i'll explain in a bit" I mumbled and turned to the girl who looked worried "hey thank you for helping me"

"no problem sorry for bumping into you like that I'm bad at riding bikes" she said laughing "I'm Joanna by the way"

"Chloe, this is my brother Sam and our friend Connor" I introduced them 

She smiled and said "Sorry if this is weird but can I have your number so we could do something together some day? So i can make up for... all of this"

I laughed and agreed then gave her my number before she went away, Sam, Connor and I got in the car and headed back home
