Chapter 50

"We're so happy that you're ok Jc" Chloe's mum said as I sat down on our couch

"I don't know what we would have done if we lost you too" Ricky said looking down

"I'm feeling better now someone please please tell me what's going on" I begged, Ricky, Connor, Emiy, Mrs Anne and Mr Porttoff sat down

"Ok" she breathed out "we're not sure, they found A body it was... burnt and really badly injured" she winced "it's too hard to figure out who it is but its blonde and same height as Chloe"

"But have they done any tests to find out if it's Chloe?" I asked

"They're doing the best they can to find out but Chloe hasn't been seen in a long time-"

"She's fine!" I snapped

Emily grabbed my hands "Jc I know you think you saw her b-"

"I did see her guys! I swear I saw her just before I passed out and at the hospital!!"

"You may have or may not before you passed out or it could have been the lack of oxygen" Connor told me
i sighed loudly, it is possible I could have been hallucinating at the woods but I know I wasn't because it was so real especially at the hospital

"Jc it's good to have hope, we're not arguing with you" Mr Porttoff went on "But hopefully we will have the results soon and maybe you may actually have seen her"

"I know what I saw" I mumbled "you don't have to believe me but I know! And I'm going to believe myself UNTIL someone actually proves to me it wasn't her!" I stood up and walked out to see Kian sitting at the bottom of the stairs with his head down and his hands running through his hair "You believe me right?" I asked

he slowly looked up at me revealing his red eyes "i don't know what to believe Jc I just find out the girl I'm in love with is dead"

"COULD be"

"But there are too many signs! She left to save ME Jc! I don't know what to do anymore" he put his head back down, I ran upstairs to her room and sat on her bed looking around it still smelt like her favourite perfume, her Polaroid pictures of her and Kian was on the wall behind her bed with fairy lights around them, there was posters of The Neighbourhood, Nirvana, Hoodie Allen and others, her desk had more pictures of all of us together, I walked up to one that caught my eyes; it was Chloe, Emily and Acacia at her grandmothers farm. Chloe was in the middle smiling showing her teeth, Emily on her right doing the peace sign and Acacia looking at Chloe seemingly forcing a smile

Then something came over me, she said there was someone else trying to hurt her... Acacia hasn't been seen in a long time maybe that someone else was "Acacia" I whispered
I ran back downstairs to see only Emily, Connor , Ricky and Kian setting up a camera "what's going on?" I asked

Emily turned to me "we're doing a quick update video"

"What you gonna say?" I sat down on the couch

"I'm gonna sing her one of her favourite songs then we're just gonna let them know how we're doing, come on join us"

"What about Sam?" I asked as Ricky sat next to me, Kian on the left arm of the couch and Emily on my right with Chloe's guitar while Connor sat on a chair

"It's way too hard for him to see us or anyone right now, I don't think doing a video about Chloe is gonna help" Ricky explained

"Are you sure we're allowed to talk about her?" I asked, they all nodded

Emily pressed play "hey guys I know there's been a lot of rumours and questions about Chloe and we're here to answer as many as we can to clear things up"

"First" Connor began "yes she was in a relationship with Jack and he was uhmm... "

"A psycho" I jumped in

"And about the body that has been found, there is links to it being Chloe" Ricky explained

"But it's not clear yet that it's her, we're trying to keep a positive mind about all of this but you guys need to help us to"

"For some of you that's been hating on her, take a fucking break can you not understand what everyone's going through right now" Kian aggressively spoke up, we allowed him to because we knew he had a lot going on "Okay? My girlfriend had to go away with a psychopath just so I could be safe! I've been living with that guilt for the past 6 months! How can you guys be so selfish and say mean things when you know what we're going through we're her bestfriends, Sam hasn't even left his room, he hasn't even used his phone he deleted everything because he can't deal with memories it's been months and nothing so for the ones that are being dicks about all of this, fuck yourselves because you're idiots!" he finally finished hopefully feeling more relieved and walked away

"So uh were not really suppose to say much but that's all we can tell you I guess" Emily awkwardly said "I'm going to sing a song which is one of her favourites and Chloe if you're out there and watching this please come home we miss you"
She began strumming the guitar and singing the first words of Check Yes Juliet, I smiled thinking of when I walked in the room and Chloe was jumping on the bed and singing that really loudly, my thoughts were interrupted by Emily finishing the song and saying bye. After she turned off we just talked for a while until Kian called us from upstairs

"What's wrong?!" we ran up the stairs to see him in Chloe's room

"Have you guys tried calling Chloe's number?" he asked

"Yes?" we all said together

"Well who's number is this?" he handed us a ripped piece of paper from her drawer, I noticed the number

"wait a second" I ran into my room and grabbed the piece of paper Chloe was writing on when I was at the hospital "Look" I showed them it was the exact same number except mine had flowers drawn on them and it said 'I miss you' 

"when did you get this?" Ricky asked

"At the hospital! You know when I said I saw her guys it wasn't a dream!!!" I picked up the phone and dialled the number

"Jc are you sure it wasn't a dream?" Connor asked

"YES!" the phone rang and we all tensed up
After 5 rings someone picked up but stayed silent "Hello?" I finally spoke up

"Jc?" the voice said and we all looked at each other

"Chloe?" Kian asked

"How.... You found the paper. Oh my god you really found it" the voice spoke in relief, we all smiled it was Chloe we could tell by the soothing voice, she sounded fine

"Where are you?" Emily grabbed the phone

"Don't tell anyone please" she said "I'll give you an address and you have to come here before midnight but please don't bring any police or tell my parents not even Sam " she explained

"We promise" we said in unison
