The rest of the two weeks pass by in a blur, and soon enough all of us are in our cars, headed back home.

"Nita, we're not going to get in trouble for missing school, right?" I ask, worried.

"You utter idiot Linda, don't you remember how we got Tommy to cover for us?"

"Oh, right yeah, oops."

Ryan, Ley, Lissie and I were in Nita's car, with Sam taking Taylor and Summer, and Jacko driving by himself in Ryan's car, because he was stupid enough to occupy the backseat with his stuff. Also, Ryan and I aren't trusted to find our way back by ourselves, because we have a tendency to get lost. Oh well.

"The Fall Festival is in three days." Nita announces. I turn around in the passenger seat to face Nita, shock evident in my face.

"It's on Sunday?"

"Yup. Who do you think is going to be Fall Princess on the float?" Nita asks. Immediately all four of us girls smile and say, in the girliest voices we can "Sabrina Gordon!"

"Um...What was that?" Ryan asks. Poor guy got lumped with us four. We probably should've taken Sabrina instead, but she said something about already packing her stuff in Sam's car.

"Oh. Umm, every year we guess who the Fall Princess is and every year we guess right." I explain.

"You doofus, he means the voice." Nita replies.

"Oh, that! Well, let's be honest, Fall Princess is kinda stupid, don't ya think? So we always put on really girly voices when we talk about it because it's stupidly girly and so is Sabrina."

"Ok..."

"How much farther Nita?" Ley asks.

"About 20 more minutes."

"Good, this car ride is already boring."

Lissie smacked her arm for that, much to our amusement.

"It's more interesting than you are." Lissie retorted, and Ley stuck her tongue out at her.

While the two bickered, I wondered about The Lying Serpent. I wonder if they posted anything during our two week trip.

When we arrived back at school on Friday, the Fall Festival was the talk of the school. People were whispering in the halls on who's going to win the Fall Princess title, who's going to be on which float, etc.

"Sabrina's definitely going to win again," a tall brunette girl whispered to her friend.

"Even with her being away for the two weeks before the festival?" her blonde friend replies.

"Yep, Sabrina is a god. She's a shoo in for the crown."

Huh. So Sabrina was away, just like us. That would explain it. When we arrived home yesterday, I found that The Lying Serpent hadn't posted any juicy gossip in two weeks, which was odd. That put a stop to my theory that Sabrina was the the Lying Serpent, but now the revelation that she's been away for two weeks as well, puts my theory back on track.

"Did you hear that?" I ask Nita.

"What?" she replies.

"Sabrina has been gone for two weeks as well. This means, she could very well be the Lying Serpent."

"That's pretty suspicious I guess."

"Damn right, it is."

The whispering stops as Sabrina herself walks through the hallway, with tanned skin and sunglasses on her head. I turn away, unable to look at her when I know how she ruined me. I feel a presence behind me, and expecting it to be Ryan or one of the gang, I turn with a smile. Only, I notice Nita isn't smiling, and then I realise it isn't Ryan or one of my friends. It's the Devil herself.
