----Third’s P.O.V----

Aubrey looks at him like he is crazy.

“Why would I remember that day?!?!” She yells.

“It was the day we first met.” He has been dying to have her remember that day. “Come back here and I will tell you what happened.” Aubrey narrows her eyes at him before walking over.

“Alright hurry up; I have better things to do.” Demetrius smile at her glad she actually came to him without force.

“July 15 2007…”

~Flashback to July 15 2007~

A young Demetrius sat on the back porch at the pack house. His father sat to his right and his Best friend and Future Beta to the left.

“Now listen to me Demetrius today marks the day that you meet all of our allies. Son, I know you are young but when you takeover I want you to know everybody already.” Demetrius’s father told him.

“Father I wouldn’t consider myself young I am going to be fifteen!” Demetrius’s argued.

“Trust me when you get older fifteen will seem young now pay attention; point out to me who the Alpha’s are.” Demetrius grumbled and started point to his father where they were.

Meanwhile a young Aubrey had just made her way through the back gate with her family.

“Now you two be good and don’t go wondering off by yourself. We are here to celebrate this pack in their 100 years of running.” Aubrey shook her head to her father’s wishes and ran off with her brother.

Back on the porch Demetrius was watching all of the pack members socialize. He had never been to a party before. The majority of his life was spent inside studying and the rest of it was going over battle tactics with his father.

“Your father said that we should go and meet some of the younger members; since they would be the people we will have to work with.” Brayden said as he handed Demetrius a glass of water.

“You go ahead without me, I am fine up here.” Brayden grumbled something underneath his breath and walked away.

Demetrius was scanning the crowd when he heard the sweetest laughter a boy could possibly hear. His eyes scanned the crowd after the sound when he saw her. She was wearing a deep red dress that had a sparkle top and a silk bottom a bow was tied around the middle. She may have been a few years younger than him but she was absolutely gorgeous.

Her black hair was flying behind her as she ran from a boy who looked oddly similar to her. Demetrius stood and watched intently as the girl ran around the yard from the boy. A low growl was admitted out of his throat as the girl tripped over a ball that lay in the grass. He covered it up with cough not knowing why he growled. The boy who was chasing after her picked her up and dusted her off. A few seconds later a few more boys ran over asking for the ball the girl was holding. The girl gave it up and the boys seemed to be asking the girl and boy if they wanted to play with them.

Demetrius tried to strain his ears to listen to their conversation but to many people where talking and they were too far away. The guys seemed to keep pressuring the girl to play but she kept shaking her head no. After a few head shakes the boys ran off with the little boy who was chasing the girl in the first place. Demetrius felt bad for the girl because she sat alone by the edge of the woods all by herself.

He stood up to go talk to her when the little girl turned around and walked straight into the woods. Demetrius mouth gaped open no children were supposed to be alone in the woods. Demetrius crossed the backyard eager to follow the young girl and see what she was up to.
