I headed to New York that night & was exhausted when I got to my hotel room, so I went straight to bed. When I woke up in the morning at 5 a.m. so I could be at the GMA studios to rehearse for the show, I was still tired as hell. I got sick again, of course & I really hoped this morning sickness didn't last too much longer. I really hated it. I hated throwing up, anyway, Right before I was to head to the stage to perform, I sent Nick a text, "Miss you. Hope you're going to watch me on GMA." I didn't hear back from him before I hit the stage. When I came off stage, I checked my phone & still he hadn't replied. I didn't hear from him for a while, so while I was in the car, heading to another interview, I decided to call him.

Nick's groggy voice, answered. "Hello?"

"Good morning, Babe." I said in a cheerful tone.

I heard Nick yawn. "Mornin."

"You said you were probably gonna freak out today. Are you freaking out?"

I heard him chuckle, sounding tired. "Give me a minute. I might when it hits me."

"I hope not. When is it gonna hit you, anyway?" I asked, smiling as I looked out at the city of New York, flashing by me.

"Probably when you start showing or when we announce it to the world. Or when we tell Phil." Nick's voice was husky & kind of turning me on. He sighed, then it sounded like he stretched. "Speaking of Phil, when do you come back again, so I can tell him when to meet us?"

"Wednesday."

"I'm going to call Phil & have him meet us at your place on Thursday. Is that okay?" Nick asked in a cautious tone.

"Yea. That sounds good. I'm pretty nervous."

"It'll be fine." Nick's reassuring voice was soothing. "I'll be right by your side, holding your hand."

I smiled at that thought. I missed Nick already & it had only been half a day since I saw him. I talked to him a few more minutes, until I got to my next interview. I went through the next few days, doing my interviews & appearances. Nick was busy in the studio over the weekend, then went back to his set on Monday. We texted when we could, talking at least once a day. Nick didn't bring up the pregnancy very much. I think talking about it just made it more real. Neither of us wanted to face it just yet. We knew it was there, hanging over our heads, but we wanted to leave it hanging until we absolutely had to face it.

When I got back to L.A. on Wednesday, Marissa was waiting for me at the airport to take me home. She hung out at my place for a while, catching us up on the last week. While we were eating some junk food on my couch & talking, my phone rang. It was Nick & the biggest smile came over my face, making Marissa laugh.

"Hi, handsome." I said into my phone. I watched Marissa roll her eyes & I threw a pillow at her.

"Hey." He responded, flatly.

"You okay?" I asked, sitting up a little.

Nick let out an aggravated sigh. "Yea. Just annoyed at the paparazzi."

"Why? What happened?"

"TMZ was outside the set when I left tonight & they were asking about Olivia. They were asking if you were a home wrecker & if I called off the wedding because I was in love with someone else. I guess all the pics of us from a few months ago, hanging out has got the rumor mill starting up again."

"Oh geez." I growled. "Fucking vultures. I'm going to look like a home wrecker when it comes out that I'm pregnant." I groaned.

"It's not coming out for a while, so hopefully, shit dies down a bit before then."
