A party usually means trouble. At least from my experience. Now, as I lay, helpless in this bed, I knew why I thought this to be true.  I had a hard time getting Wilmer off of me. Moving my body was almost a lost cause. I couldn’t speak because Wilmer was kissing me so hard. He finally started kissing my neck & I managed to say something. "Wilmer." I pleaded. "Look at me, Wilmer. Why are you doing this? Please get off of me." I felt his hand in between my thighs & I managed to let a tiny scream escape my lips before he smothered my mouth with his, again. His weight was crushing me, hurting me now. I was scared, not only for me, but for my baby. Through my tears, I saw Wilmer's eyes looking into mine & my blood ran cold. This wasn't Wilmer. I don't know who this was looking down at me. His eyes were vacant, lifeless, cold & hard. I ucked in my breath as I realized he had no intentions of stopping this. He was going to rape me & not think twice about it.

I squeezed my eyes shut & sobbed against Wilmer's hand. I felt his weight lift off of me, suddenly & when I opened my eyes, I saw Nick throwing Wilmer up against the wall. Wilmer slid down the wall in a heap & Nick started punching him in the face, repeatedly & with extreme force. I was sobbing so hard, I couldn't do anything else. Thankfully, Joe came into the room & pulled Nick off of Wilmer, which is when I noticed Olivia standing inside the door, staring at me. More precisely, she was staring at my belly that was exposed from my dress being pulled up to my chest. I pulled it down, quickly, still sobbing, uncontrollably.

Nick was on the bed a moment later, his breathing rapid, as he pulled me into his arms. I saw Joe dragging Wilmer's limp body out of the room, with the help of a few of his friends. I wasn't even sure Wilmer was alive. Nick was hitting him pretty hard & for several minutes before Joe pulled him off of Wilmer. I was scared now for Wilmer & Nick.

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" Nick asked, looking at my face, as his thumbs wiped at my tears. His breathing was labored as he tried to calm himself down. I was blubbering & not making sense. Nick pulled me against him, rubbing my hair & shushing in my ear. Nick continued to hold me while I calmed down. When I finally, felt like I could be coherent, I pulled away from Nick & noticed Olivia was still standing by the door. The door was almost closed completely & it seemed as if she was guarding it from anyone coming in. Nick saw me looking at her. "Olivia was on her way downstairs when she heard you scream so she came & got me."

I looked at Olivia now as she stood there, watching me, curiously, not smiling, not frowning. She wore no expression really. I was grateful to her, but she looked like she was having second thoughts about saving me, right now. "Your scream didn't sound like a girl who was enjoying what was being done to her." Olivia said in a weird tone. I couldn't figure out what her deal was.

I shivered & Nick rubbed my arms. He turned to Olivia. "Will you go make sure Joe gets Wilmer out of here. If he doesn't & I see him, I might kill him." Olivia nodded, her lips pursed as she glanced at me, once more, before leaving the room. She attempted to close the door, but it didn't close all the way. Nick watched me with concern all over his face. "I have never wanted to kill someone before in my life." He shook his head. "If Joe hadn't pulled me off of him, I might have."

"That wasn't Wilmer. I don't know who that was. He was drunk, but I think it was something more. He wasn't there in his head. I saw nothing in his eyes." My voice was quiet.

"Are you seriously defending him?"

"Nick, I think he was on something." I choked out.

Nick took a deep breath & shook his head, looking away. "I don't care. Demi," His eyes met mine. "He almost raped you. If I hadn't come in when I did, he would have. He didn't look like he was gonna stop." Nick's voice faded as his eyes met mine. "He didn't get that far, did he?" He asked, almost afraid of the answer.
