Nicholas's POV.

I watched Chloe and Adam get into the car and drive away. I just stared at the spot where the car has recently been with a heavy heart. "shall we go boss", my driver asked me and I said yes. The car drove away towards my parents house and I dreaded that. I hated seeing my father because he's the one who caused me to lose my Chloe. The car drove into my parents Estate and then the garage. I got out of the car not waiting for the servants to open the door for me and then strode into the house. I stopped shot and I started feeling uneasy. "ah Nicholas you're just in time I want you to met my very good Friend Mr Cameron and his daughter jasmine your betrothed .","he said to me and I just stared at him shocked then stared at the woman" you're kidding right",. I saw him stiffen slightly and then he excused him self and asked me to join him in the study.

The door closed and then I felt my dad's fist connect with my stomach. I immediately fell to the floor and then he connected again but this time with my ribs and I spat out blood. To his shock and mine I started chuckling with the blood in my mouth "you're getting weak and fragile old man", I say to him and he wanted to hit me again but was stopped by my mom and my cousin Sam. I didn't even know when they entered the study. "stop it Richard",my mom said trying to hold back my squirming father." Listen to me son, you will marry jasmine and because your Union will bring together mine and Cameron's mafia gang do you understand me! and if you do anything to spoil this I'll make sure that that Chloe girl is punished do you hear me!, for every mistake you make poor cafe girl Chloe will have to suffer the consequences ",. my dad chuckled as he knew he has gotten through to me. I could feel the colour draining from my face as he spoke and I know now that my face is probably Ashen" How's that for a weak old man ", my father said to me laughing as he walked out of the study.

" Nicholas! ", my mom helped me from my feet  to a nearby chair. my cousin handed her a handkerchief and she began wiping my mouth" please just do as he says, I don't want to lose you too.",she says to me and then when I didn't reply sighed and walked out the door. "brother I feel your pain sometimes love is about making sacrifices", Sam says to me and then he too walked out leaving me alone in the study. I wanted to scream, I wanted to shout, I wanted to destroy something and among all this pent up emotions, I wanted to see my Chloe. I quickly took the secret passage which lead to the garage. I entered one of the cars and started it as we always leave the key in the car and drove quickly to the Chloe's house.

i arrived there at a record breaking time and was about to exit the vehicle when I saw Chloe and Adam walking her to her door side by side. I watched them arrive at her door step and talk for a while after that he hugged her and my eyes stung as I watched Adam kiss Chloe. sometimes love is making about sacrifices,. my cousin's words echoed in my head as I looked at them. yes but in my case I won't be able to let her go, she's the only one for me.
