"Mommy..." I turn some in my sleep. "Mommy..." I stir awake seeing Emma. I hold the sheet to my chest I put my bra back on but I figured we'd be up long before the kids. "Sweetie what is it?" She frowns. "I had a bad dream and so I went to get in bed with Sadie but she was gone. I can't find her." I gasp. "What?! Are you sure sweetie that you searched the whole house?!" She nods. I push Jackson as hard as I can. "Get up!" He jumps. "What's wrong?!" I huff. "Sadie's gone!" He jumps up. "What?!"
He throws his shirt over his head before getting up and pulling pants on. "Come on Emma. We are gonna check outside while mommy gets ready to help us okay?" She nods. When they leave I jump up. I get dressed quickly before racing downstairs. "Did you find her I ask as they come in?" He nods softly.
"Go see for yourself. Come on Emma let's get you back to bed." She pouts. "Can I sleep with you until I fall asleep daddy?" He pecks her head. "Of course honey." I step out of the opened back door seeing her in her tree house Jackson and Zane built as a birthday present. I look up seeing her feet. And the lights all lit up.
"Sadie? Sweetheart what's wrong? You had us all worried. You know you aren't supposed to be out past dark." I huff when she doesn't answer me. I climb the treehouse sitting down next to her. "Come on. What's wrong?" She huffs.
"There's this boy and I don't want to leave because I'm scared that he won't like me when I get back." I brush the hair from her face. "Sweetie your eight. That's very young. I'm sure you do like this boy but if he doesn't like you when we come back it wasn't meant to be. Can I tell you a story?" She nods softly. "Daddy had this girl before me. He loved her like he loves us and she broke his heart. He waited for years hoping things would get better and one day he found me. He became my best friend and then he became my everything just like you kids. My point is that sure he loved that girl before me but if she hadn't have broken his heart she'd be your mommy not me. Things happen for a reason Sadie and sometimes you have to let them. It's gonna lead you somewhere great in the long run I promise." She sighs. "Thanks mommy." I hum. "Don't tell daddy I told you. Or Emma. Okay?" She nods. "Now why don't you come in and get some rest for school tomorrow?" She nods. "I kiss her head before climbing down. She stays behind for a while though.
I step into the house bumping into Jackson who has a smirk on his face. "What?" I ask softly. "Why didn't you tell me?" I make a face. "Tell you what?" He smiles. "That you were jealous of Sarah." I laugh some. "Where did you get that from?" He furries his brow. "I heard you tell Sadie as much." I scuff stepping past me. "I'm not jealous of her okay?"
He follows me into the kitchen. "Teagan it's okay to be..." I throw the glass cup at the wall hearing it shatter. "I'm not jealous!" I huff realizing the situation. "I'm sorry..." I whisper before running past him up the stairs. I step into our room. "Mommy?" I smile humming. "Yes sweetie?" She pouts. "Daddy was supposed to bring me juice. Did he disappear too?" I shake my head. "No sweetie he's getting it for you. No come on move over so I can lay next to you." She does and I slide in pulling her into my side.
Eventually Jackson steps in handing Emma a juice box. "Thank you." He taps her nose. He glances at me but I don't look up at him. "Come on Emma let's go see if we can squeeze you next Sadie on her bed." She nods before I scoop her up heading out of the room. "Sadie?" I say as she makes her way to her room. "Do you mind if Emma sleeps with you? She had a bad dream." She smiles. "Of course not. Come on bug." I set her down and Emma runs into her room after Sadie.
I sigh once their door is closed heading back to my room. I step in and Jackson steps out of the bathroom. I rub my arms taking a seat on the bed. "I was always a little jealous Jackie..." He sits next to me lifting my face. "Why would someone as beautiful as you be so worried about someone like her?" I sigh. "She's got everything from you. You'll always have a certain love for your first true love." He smiles. "You are my everything love and what me and her had wasn't true love. I have a certain love for you. I feel like I've waited my whole life to wrap my arms around you. Every time I wrapped my arms around her she felt like a stranger to me but you feel like someone I've know my whole life."
I huff. "And now you know she's here...that maybe she'd love you for as far as you've come..." He kisses me. "You really think I'm gonna leave you for here because I've got money now?" He laughs. "I'll never forget who got me here and it damn sure wasn't her." I frown. "Jackie..." He pulls my lips to his again. "Listen to me baby girl. I want nothing to do with Sarah alright. I'm not weighed down. I want to be here. I want to spend my life with you. I love you more than I could have ever loved her."
I smile. "Really?" He hums. "Yeah baby. A million times yes." I press my nose to his. "Prove it." He smiles. "How?" I wrap my arms around his neck. "Love me better than you ever loved her." He makes a face. I move his hands up my shirt. "Love me Jackie." He smiles. "You know what you're asking for right?" I nod. "Yes Jackie don't make me change my mind." He pulls me onto his lap. "There's no need for that." I feel him yank my shirt off of me letting it fall to the floor. He bites his lip looking up at me. "You're sure?" I lock my fingers in his hair before nodding. He presses his lips to my collarbone.
I sigh softly letting my head fall onto his shoulder. I peck softly at his neck before attaching my lips to a spot leaving a love bite. He grips my hair pulling me from his neck and I whine before he pushes my lips to his. He pulls back nudging my nose with his. He glances up at me. I bite my lip patiently waiting for his next move. He flips me pinning me to the bed. He runs his nose from my chest to my belly button and I shiver lifting my hips so his lips lay flat on my stomach. He hums. "I love you." I smile. "I love you too Jackie."
Enjoy!
