"Omg! Noooo!" I groaned to myself as Dean Winchester died yet again on the newest season of Supernatural. I mean I should've seen it coming, but still it was frustrating. Ding! A sound from my computer pulled me out of binge-mode and I curiously stalked over to my computer. I saw a new notification and logged into the computer. Upon clicking on the notification I saw that it was the alert system I had set up after the whole Zalgo incident with my mom. The alert showed a Newspaper Obituary section and a familiar name sat there among the other strangers on the list. My mom, but that was impossible. It must be a fault in my system, some other person with her same name. I mean she didn't have any recent hospital records or anything. I continued to read through her paragraph. "(Mom's Name) died on (yesterday's date) due to a horrific car crash. Investigators say that the car's brakes failed and cause Mrs.(last name) to crash into a tree late last night." I did a quick search on the car crash and clicked on the first link, a quick scan through it confirmed my worst fears; " Some might say she was luckily to not have any family that would witness her passing. Her husband died in a fire years ago and her daughter has been missing since said fire. It really is a tragedy." I leaned back and tears threaten to spill from my eyes. I refuse to believe she is dead. I quickly grabbed a jacket and hurried down the stairs. I saw Jeff watching TV on the couch.

"I'm going out. I'll be back later." My voice was shaky and I hated myself for it.

He turned in confusion at my weak voice, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine" I huffed

"Want me to go with you?" he asked calmly.

"No."

"Okay will please be careful and come back safe."

It still never ceased to amaze me that he almost always knew when something bad happened to me and how calmly he acted about it.

"Fine." I quickly left before he could ask anything else.

I made my way to my mom's house. I knew this probably broke Zalgo's contract, but I needed to make sure she was okay. As I rounded the corner her house sat on I saw people clearing out her house. I hesitantly walked up to one of the people.

"Um excuse me. I was just curious what's happening here?" I asked

"Well the lady in this house died and since she had no family she donated everything to charity. She died in a car crash the other day, I think her name was (mom's first name)?"

"Oh." I managed to hold back my tears somehow. "Um. Is she having a funeral?"

"Actually I think she is. Andrew! When is the funeral?"

"Tomorrow at 6 pm. At the Red Horse Cemetery I heard!" a guy yelled from somewhere in the house.

"Yeah. Did she mean something to you?" he asked carefully.

"She was just a neighbor. I was unaware she passed. Thanks for the info. " I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"No problem. Have a nice day."

I nodded and walked off. I couldn't stop the tears that flowed freely from my eyes.

When I was away from prying eyes I opened a portal back to the mansion. I didn't go to the door instead I ran the opposite direction. I ran for I don't know how long. If only you could outrun your problems. Finally I collapsed against a tree out of breath.

I left my mom alone that night Zalgo was there. I should've found a way to save her. Save both of us; she thought I was dead all this time. Maybe I could've saved her if I had been there. God WHY WASN'T I THERE? I punched the tree. That I had been leaning against. Then again and again. My fists became bloody yet I didn't care. After a while I stopped and realized that the sun was setting. I swallowed back the sadness that threaten to consume me. Then slowly started trudging toward the mansion. When I arrived Jeff was on the doorstep,

"(y/n)! Where have you- your hands." He softly spoke the last part and walked up to me to grab my wrists.

"What happened." He demanded

"Let me go. I don't want to talk about it." I enunciated every word scared my voice my break otherwise.

"Please talk to me. " He tried again.

"No" I yanked my wrists out of his hands and hurried up the stairs to my room.

I sat in the bathroom floor and carefully bandaged my hands. Once that was done. I just sat there. I didn't know what to do. The last person in my blood family died. My mother. The women that raised me, cared for me. My door banged open and Clockwork walked in.

"Somethings wrong. My Best friend senses are tingling." She joked

I didn't smile. I couldn't.

She leaned down beside me.

"What's wrong?"

I began to speak, but tears erupted from me again.

I began sobbing, I hated looking weak in front of other yet I couldn't stop. Clockwork hugged me as I cried and comforted me.

Once I calmed down I managed a couple words.

"My mom." My words were barely audible.

She nodded in understanding.

A few minutes later I ran out of tears.

"Why don't you try getting some sleep okay?" Clockwork walked alongside me as I somehow managed to crawl into bed.

"Yell if you need anything."

I just nodded as I heard the door to my room close. I knew I wouldn't sleep tonight. How could I? I made an attempt though.
