Chapter 13: Set

Jen Pov:

My parents went home yesterday, Ainsley did fairly well with them. Today I go back to set and Ainsley starts her schooling. I wake up to my alarm and get dressed quickly. I place my hair in a messy bun and go into Ainsley's room. I wake her up gently, she's pretty tired since she woke up three times in the night.

"Sweetheart we need to get up" I gently shake her

"Mommy I don't want to"  she says as she rubs her eyes

"I know baby but I have to go to work and it's time to go to school."

She reluctantly crawls out of bed and I help her get dressed. This is the first time she is meeting my friends at set. Colin is even bringing Evan today so she can have a friend. I feed Ava, then get Ainsley buckled in the car. We make a quick stop at Starbucks so I can get my coffee and get Ainsley a hot chocolate. We arrive on set and I park the car. Ainsley takes my hand and we walk towards my trailer. I find Colin, Helen, Evan, Ginny, Josh, Hugo and Oliver all standing outside my door. Ainsley holds onto my hand tighter when she sees the group of people.

"Hi guys!" I say and Ginny pulls me in a tight hug

"We're so happy you're back" Ginny says

"I missed you guys, Well this is my daughter Ainsley, baby can you say hi"

"Hi" she whispers

"This is Ginny and Josh, little Hugo and Oliver. Oliver is close to your age. And that is Colin and Helen and their son Evan. He is a little older than you. You remember meeting Colin at the hospital?"

She nods her head and whispers in my ear "why does she have a big belly?"

I smile at her "that's a baby in her tummy, Helen is pregnant"

Ainsley's smiles "like baby Eli"

"Yes sweetheart"

Helen approaches us "hi Ainsley, do you want to touch the baby"

Ainsley smiles at her "really?" She asks.
Ainsley takes her hand and places it on Helen's stomach. She gasps "I can feel it!"

Colin comes over to me and gives me a hug. "She looks much better Jen"

"Yes it's been great"

"We are happy to have you back"

We talk with everyone for a minute

"Alright Ainsley you need to get to school and I need to get to hair and makeup" I interrupt

Josh and Helen walk their kids to daycare. Ginny and Colin walk to set, the three of us are shooting a scene in Mary Margret's apartment later. Ainsley and I make our way over to the schooling trailer. Jared is in there working. I see Lisa, Ainsley's teacher.

"Okay baby you ready" I ask Ainsley

"Yes mommy, I want to go to school"

"Okay good, you'll be fine with Lisa she's very nice"

I give her a hug and reluctantly leave her but I say goodbye to Jared on my way out. I've already met Lisa and know she is a nice lady but I can't help being worried about my little girl. I quickly head to hair and makeup to get dressed as Emma. Then I rush over to the studio. Colin and Ginny are sitting at the kitchen table and I join them

"Is she good" Colin asks

"She's excited but I'm worried"

"She will be fine Jen" Ginny assures me
