Chapter 15: Date

Jen Pov:

After watching movies with Ainsley all afternoon I need to get ready for my date with Kyle. I shower and do my makeup, Ainsley sits with me in the bathroom and brushes my hair.

"Why don't the makeup ladies put on your makeup at home" she asks

"They are for the show honey, they make me look like Emma. This is just for me"

"Can I put it on"

"Sure"  I smile

I give her lipstick and she puts it all over her mouth and giggles. Then she takes some bright blue eyeshadow and puts it in her eyebrows. I take a brush and put blush on her cheeks. We have fun laughing and putting makeup on. Eventually I get dressed into a lacy black dress with long sleeves. I curl my hair slightly and do a headband braid. Ginny is coming over to watch Ainsley, since Ainsley trusts her the most. I open the door and Ginny hugs me

"You look beautiful Jen" she compliments

"Thank you, I'm nervous" I say

"I can tell, relax you are beautiful and sexy. You'll be fine and so will Ainsley. We got this" she encourages me

Ainsley runs down the stairs and hugs Ginny, they have gotten closer hanging out on set. Ginny picks her up and they start to play games in the living room. A little while later Kyle rings the doorbell and I open it. I stop to admire him and he stops to admire me. Eventually he breaks the moment and hands me a bouquet of roses. I lead him to the kitchen as I place the roses in a vase. Ginny introduces herself and smirks at me, meaning she thinks he is attractive. Kyle says hi to Ainsley but she's to focused on her game with Ginny to have a long conversation.

"So are you ready to leave?" Kyle asks me

"Yes" I smile and take his hand

I kiss Ainsley goodbye and head out the door. Kyle opens the car door for me and I get inside, he gets in the drivers seat.

"If I didn't say so already you look stunning tonight, love" he says in a fake British accent

I give him a look and he laughs

"Lorelei told me to say that" he admits

"Good, otherwise I would be very concerned right now"

He begins to drive to our destination "you know Lorelei is probably more excited for this date then either of us. She even told me what to wear"

"She is incredibly sweet, does she have her mothers hair? If that's not to personal.....I just really love red hair"

"No it's fine, she is an exact replica of her mother, makes it hard to look at her as she's growing up."

"How is Elliot doing" I ask and grab his hand reassuringly

He squeezes my hand "Well his ear infection cleared up, but he hates me and never stops crying"

"He's a baby he can't hate you" I argue

"Well I don't feel a connection with him like I did for Lorelei..........It's because I never loved his mother.......he was an accident"

"Kyle so was Lorelei, once he is passed the sleeping eating pooping phase you'll be fine"

"I guess that's true, I'm just sleep deprived. Do you like babies?"

"Well I have a niece and nephew actually, I love spending time with them. Of course I like babies!"

"Do you want a child?"
