Chapter 11

A few months have passed, 3 to be exact, and it's been quite pleasuring for me.

I've somewhat brought closer Nathan and Clarissa, probably not in the dating part yet but I know I'm not giving up until it all happens.

Nathan and I have become closer as well. Every single time their was a project in art we would work on it together. Every once in a while he would sneak up on me after school so I could give him a ride home because he would "miss" his bus.

It turns out as well that when our Chemistry teacher changed our seats, I ended up sitting next to him in the back while Clarissa sat by one of her old school friends. I was pretty glad she sat by someone she knew and would frequently talk to. I didn't want her sitting with some quiet nerd like I did.

We've come to complete out first semester, and now coming back from vacation to begin our second one.

I crossed the front doors of the building and walked over to my locker. The hallways weren't crowded like usual, and that made me pretty happy.

As I opened my locker, I felt two arms close shut my eyes. I smiled as I knew who it was.

"Nathan you realize I know it's you right? And besides it's really not hard to guess since you do it every morning."

His hands then came off my eyes and I turned to find him smiling. His smile always found some way to put mine out as well.

"I surrender" he said, pulling up his hands.

"Surrender accepted." I took out a few books from my locker and then closed it.

"You need help?" he asked as we began to walk towards class.

"No, I'm good. No worries" I replied.

We walked into the classroom and sat in our seats. I pulled out my journal and opened as I came down to look for a pen.

When I came up I saw that my journal had a little note.

Boo

I turned to Nathan and eyed him, I then saw his journal was on his desk as well.

I opened his journal to the middle of many blank pages and wrote on it.

Wow! I'm soo scared someone help me.

He then stretched over and began writing once again.

The smell of his cologne invaded my nose since his body was just a few centimeters from mine. His face then turned to look at me with side smile.

I smiled as I shook my head at his action. He then came back to his chair and I saw his comment left on my page.

I'll protect you ;)

I chuckled a bit and then ripped the page from my journal to leave a blank one for class.

Mr. Green then walked in, handing us over our assignment.

"I guess we didn't need our journals after all" stated Nathan as he put up his journal.

"I can see" I replied.

That's when the bell came signaling the start of school.

During gym, the my friends and I were walking around the fields as we chatted.

"I missed y'all" cried Lydia.

"Same" I said, as I felt a tiny feeling inside my stomach but decided to ignore it.

"You girls accepted me and I'm really happy about that. I'm so glad were friends. Thank you." Said Lydia as she stood in front of us.

"Aww Lydia" cried Clarissa as she hugged her. I to, joined in the group hug.

A few bounces were heard, and we recognized a basketball just a fee inches from our feet.

"Lady hug huh? " questioned Nathan, as he picked up the ball.

"Pretty awesome, you should try it sometime. Oh wait....your not a lady. Forgot." I said, as I smiled mischievously.

"Very funny. I got you in Chemistry. Watch out." He said as he began walking away.

"This guy...." I said as I turned to my friends.

"How's the operation going?" questioned Lydia as Clarissa listened carefully since she knew what we were talking about.

"Well, it's really hard to maintain a conversation with this kid about you. He somehow changes the subject but in still on it."

"That's how you know he won't ever like me!" cried Clarissa.

"Calm down...it's going to be okay. I'm sure I'll get him to like you I promise."
I said with much courage and confidence.
