"Clarissa!" I threw myself to the floor not caring if got myself dirty and reached my hand to her.

Nathan kneeled down as well, trying to help in every way possible.

Since the bell had rung, no one was around, only us.

"Here, let me carry her to the nurse's office" Nathan placed his hands under her body and lifted her up bridal style.

Lydia and I followed him, up the stairs and crossing the entrance. A few people looked over, whispering among themselves.

I opened the main doors of the gym, making Nathan's path the easiest.

Once we arrived to the nurse's office, Lydia and I stood close next to the small bed were Clarissa was put.

The nurse have her back to us as she put on some gloves. She then came and observed Clarissa.

The nurse passed a cotton ball filled with alcohol over Clarissa's nose waiting for her to wake up.

"I'm sure she will wake up with this"
Commented the nurse.

A little cough was heard and Clarissa's grey eyes we're once again in view. She slowly made her way up with some assistance of the nurse.

She held her head with her hand, and that's when her eyes met Nathan's.

I could observe the faces and feelings exchanged between the two of them.

Nathan sending his worried and upset face while Clarissa could only give her terrified and nervous face.

"Are you okay dear?" asked the nurse. I knew I wasn't the only one capable of seeing what her face expressed.

"I'm fine. I just....wanna go home" she slowly stood up and exit the office not saying a word to any of us.

"Clarissa!" I yelled, chasing after her but Nathan's arms quickly grabbed hold of me. I looked up to him, telling him to let me go.

"I don't think right now is the best time." He replied

"Nathan she's my best friend. I have to be there for her. I know what to do, now let me go"

"Carolina.."

"LET ME GO. Please!" I demanded. His hands slowly set me free as I began to run towards her direction.

Far off in the distance I could see my friend crossing the gym doors. I pushed the door hard making it slam against the wall.

"Clarissa!"

She once came to a stop, not caring to turn around or anything. Once I caught up to her, I placed my hands on her shoulders and my face met hers full of tears.

"No...don't cry! Its ok!" I wrapped her in a warming hug, and her tears continued to pour down, making me feel extremely bad for her.

"Why did this have to happen?! Why did he have to listen. He wasn't supposed to know!"

"Clarissa it's okay. Clarissa, look at me." Her red eyes met mine and wiped off her tears. "I know you didn't want him to know, but I'm sure if you just speak with him-

"No." She stood up and grabbed her bag from the gym. "I'm not talking to him ever again. With the face he gave me I know we're not friends anymore."

I grabbed my bag as well and began walking her to the exit. "Don't say that! Nathan made that face because he was worried about you. He's a very nice guy, I'm sure nothing has changed between y'all."

"That's what you say but not him! Carolina, I really don't feel like speaking to him or ever looking at him. No."

Once we came out of the school, we came to my car and I began driving to my house, bringing Clarissa along.

"I really want to go home. I love you but I don't want to go to your house" said Clarissa.

"I'm sorry but were going to fix these issues right now. And I'm going to be in charge it's all good."

"What are you talking about?"

"You'll find out" I told her.

I parked in front of my house and quickly dashed inside of my house. We went upstairs and into my room.

"Sit down" I demanded.

"Why am -

"Sit!"

Clarissa slowly sat on my bed, looking straight at me with her confused face.

I took out my phone and began to dial Nathan's number. I then put it on speaker.

Clarissa eyes then enlarged once she saw what I was doing.

"What! no! I'm not talking to him..no way." She stood up to leave but my hand caught her arm and pulled her back.

"Like I said, I'm going to be in change he for everything to be solved."

"Hello?" said someone on the other side of the phone.

"Nathan?"

"Yeah"

"It's Carolina"

"Oh hey....have you heard anything about Clarissa? Is she okay?"

I turned to Clarissa giving her the indication to speak. She shook her head but I continued to insist, each time more and more.

"N-athan?" She stuttered.

"Clarissa! Are you okay? Look about what happened today....I'm really-

"Just don't speak about it. I know your going to tell me no more communication between us and-

"What!? No. I'm not going to stop talking to you, that's stupid. Your a great friend, your like a sister to me. I was really worried about you."

I saw Clarissa's eyes come look at me and I smiled to her and then pointed at the phone telling her to speak.

"Nathan...I....don't want you feeling awkward. If you really don't want to talk anymore-

"No, it's okay. I understand your position. Believe me I've been there. But no, I don't feel any awkwardness. None. I actually feel honored to be liked by someone like you.

I saw Clarissa cover her mouth from screaming and I smiled at her.

"Aww. Your so sweet! I was so scared, but I'm okay now."

"So were good?" he questioned.

"Were good" she replied.

"Yay! my job is done!" I yelled making both of them laugh.

"It's appreciated Carolina." he replied.

"Very much" cried my friend as she hugged me.

For another hour, we kept talking. We talked about school and we somehow came to talk about the dance. We then agreed to meet and hang out there that night. I could see the excitement in Clarissa eyes since we would now hang out with Nathan at the dance.

After dropping off my best friend, I then called Lydia to apologize for leaving her like that but then gifting her the good news about Nathan and Clarissa.

She reacted almost the same way as me, only with more squeaking and screaming.

"You realize your mission is over right?" she stated.

"Well, I could always try to make him like her still? Despite him knowing the truth already.

"You think so?"

"Well.....not the easiest, but not impossible either".
