Chapter 27

Jen's POV

Two months past since Dom Killed him. I still work at a shelter for animals and the same one. Two months since Jer found a new house near Ash's place. Two months since I broken up with Andy. Two months since I started to have the nightmares. Two months since I have gone out with Jer to hang out with the guys. Two months I have seen Ash and Andy. Two months since I haven't answered anyone text or calls but Jer's, Case's, and Tommy's. Two months since everything happened. Two months since I barely talk any more.

Today I was excided because Case and Tommy were coming today. They were moving in. Like I said before Cassie sings, I play guitar, and Tommy plays base,  we need a drummer and another   guitar player. It was a lot but it didn't matter to us. We were happy. I guess Tommy found a drummer and Cassie approved of whoever it was and I would be meeting that person today.

"Jen are you awake?" asked Jer quietly.

He knew what I was doing. He knew I locked myself away when his band was over. I wouldn't leave the room to talk to anyone. And tonight would be the first night I would be seeing every one in two months.

"I'm awake Jer. I'm even dressed. Cassie texted me and told me that she'll be here in 20 minutes. So we have three rooms for them right?" I asked.

"Yes we have three rooms for them," said Jer.

"That's good. I promise that we will find our own place soon," I said.

"You don't have to do that. Also I think they just pulled up," Said Jer.

I jumped off from my bed and looked out my window and saw Cassie's new SUV she just got. I ran out of my room and out of the house and jumped on her and just hugged her for dear life. She hugged me back.

"I missed you to sis. Now I got to breathe and I believe Tommy wants a hug." said Cassie.

I let go of her and hugged Tommy and he held me tight. I felt whole again. I have my sis and brother again.

"Okay Jen let go. I got to introduce you to our drummer," said Tommy.

I let him go and noticed a girl, she looked Asian. She had long black hair that was colored green. I smiled at her and said, "Hi, I'm Jen and you are?"

"I'm Mai. Mai Karlos, I was  adopted when I was younger. I heard all about you and your love of Asians, music, Anime, Dramas and food," said Mai.

"Wow I hope everything is good. Its good to meet you Mai and welcome to our little unnamed group," I said.

Mai smiled and said, "Thanks. I heard that you were cool. So who is that behind you?"

I looked behind me and saw my cousin and said, "That is Jinxx, my cousin. Come inside, lets get everyone settled in shall we."

An hour later I was in my room watching Death Note the anime when Jinxx, Cassie, and Tommy walked into my room. I knew what was coming. I sighed and stopped my show and just waited for one of them to start yelling at me.

"Jen, Jer told me what has been going on lately. Now why are you shutting yourself away again?" Cassie asked me.

I looked away and said, "Just don't feel like hanging with everyone. Besides its better this way. I know it is."

"Jen you know its not. I know you are happy with Jer, but what happened at the shelter doesn't mean that you have to be scared that-"

I stopped Tommy and said, "Its because I know that no matter what everyone says, I'll always end up alone. What happened with him could happen again. I'm going to the party tonight, but I might turn in early. I've been having nightmares and I don't want to risk having a panic attack around everyone."

"That's a lie. Your shutting yourself away because you're scared about finding someone. Also Jer told me what happened with you and Andy. Also what didn't happen with you and Ash. So please stay at the party tonight. I know they miss you sis, just like me and Tommy have," said Cassie.

I sighed and said, "Fine. So tell me about Mai?"

They told me about Mai all right. Tommy was dating her, and that she was adopted. Mai was only 19, a year old than Tommy. But Mai could drum, and Cassie said that she could be better than CC. I laughed at that.

Three o'clock rolled around and Cassie dragged me out of my room and outside in the back yard where everyone was at. Music could be heard. People sitting and talking, and I noticed that Jer was cooking the food. I walked over to him and just sighed.

"Jen what's wrong?" asked Jer.

"I'm just a little scared is all. I guess I have locked myself away. I thought it would be better since it was my fault that your last house was trashed," I admitted to him.

"No. Jen it wasn't your fault. It was his. He chose to do that. He chose to hurt you. And now I want you to be happy and have some fun and go and talk to people I got to cook some food," Jer told me.

I laughed and walked around. I waved to the guys and just looked away from the girls. Cassie run over to me and pulled me from my seat and said, "We got to dance."

"Nope, not happening because I know what happens when you want to dance," I said.

Tommy walked over with Mai and said, "Cassie no dancing. I don't think Jinxx would be happy about that."

"But its so fun. Besides its not a party if no one is dancing," said Cassie.

I just shook my head. I noticed someone walked over to Jinxx. I looked again and saw Ash. But he wasn't alone, he was with a blonde girl. It was the same girl from a month ago when he came over to work on some things with Jer. Ash looked at me, but I looked away and just watched Cassie and Tommy talk.

"Are they always like this?" asked Mai.

"It gets worse. Wait until Cassie decides to play kpop and dance to the songs," I said.

Mai laughed and I just shook my head. Just then Jake and Ella walked over us. I waved to them and Jake hugged me and said, "How are you Jen?"

"I'm fine. How are you guys?" I asked them.

"We're good. Just hoping that no one gets drunk tonight," said Ella.

I froze when she said that. I looked down and said, "Yeah. I know what you mean. I'm going to talk to Jer for a bit. Enjoy yourselves."

I walked over to Jer and noticed at Ash and the girl was still talking. I wrapped my arms around my cousin and said, "Jinxx I'm going to lay down for a bit. All the alochol is getting to me."

Jer turned so that he could look at my face, when he saw my face he knew I was hiding something but he also knew how I felt about alcohol.

"Okay. Just don't sleep all after noon away," Jer warned.

I nodded my head and walked away.
