Chapter Twenty-two

Tahimik siyang nakaupo sa harap ng siyam na kaibigan ni Key habang ang mga ito ay tinitignan siya gamit ang mga mapanuring mata.

"So what is this meeting all about? I cancelled a very important meeting for this." One of them which he think is Lj breaks the awkward silence.

He cleared his throat. "I'm here to ask for your help."

The triplets laughed at him mockingly.

"Ang kapal din naman talaga ng muka mo." One of them said.

"If this is what it takes just to win Key, then i'll do it gladly and willingly. Even if I know that you all hate me." He said, maintaining his emotionless face. He need to look tough and he needs to be tough.

"Well at least you're not that dense." Ismid ng isa.

"So this meeting is all about Key." Sierra raised her eyebrow at him.

He nodded silently.

"I must admit, you're really that determined. Napagsama-sama mo kaming siyam para lang sa meeting na ito."

"Erin!" Saway ng isa sa triplets sa katatapos lang magsalita.

"We're supposed to give him a hard time!" The other one cried.

"Hindi yung pinupuri mo pa siya!"

Erin smiled sheepishly. "Sorry."

"So let's get back to business." Another one spoke.

"What do you want from us?" Lj asked straight to the point.

"I need your help. Key listens to all of you." He explained.

"Pero wala na kaming magagawa. Si Key na mismo ang may ayaw ng lahat ng ito." Sierra reasoned out. "She had already closed her doors."

Which he sighed to that. "I won't back down. If she'd closed her doors then i'll aim for the window. I want to prove how much I love her. Not only to her but to her friends. I want to consult all of you first coz I know Key sees you as her family so it's important that i'll have your approval first. That's why I asked for your presence here." He look at everyone.

"So you really love her tthat much huh?" Pagtataray ng isa. "And my name's Ianna, by the way." Kahit ang pagpapakilala nito ay pataray parin.

"I do." He nodded.

"What changed? You were so inlove with your ex girlfriend, right?"

"Yes. Megan will always held that special part in my heart." Which is true, her memories on his heart will always remain no matter what. That's part of who he is right now.

"But Key thought me how to live my life again. She made me realize that being stucked in the past will lead me nowhere. That the world is still moving and so with my life." He smiled. "She made me realize that I can be happy again. She made me realize that if Megan can talk to me right now, she'd want me to be happy and live my life again. Start all over again... with Key." Saying that, naalala niya iyong huling panaginip niya tungkol kay Megan. Kung paano ito nagbigay ng sign na si Key ang gusto nito para sa kanya.

"Bakit ngayon mo lang na-realize ang lahat ng ito? Kinailangan pang magsuicide ng kaibigan namin."

"How can you assure us that this is not guilt?"

Pakiramdam niya ay nasa hotseat siya at ginigisa siya ng mga ito. But he came prepared. "I admit, I was harsh to Key from the very beginning. But I hope that you understand my situation, i'm grieving over the death of my girlfriend who means the world to me. She's it for me. The girl who brings out the best in me and someone I can see my future with is taken away from me all of a sudden. Just like that. Walang pasabi. Basta na lang siyang namatay."
