Morgana wouldn't be too hard to find. I knew she was near the sea, and I recognised her scent from miles away. She was here. I hoped I looked presentable. I straightened my bow tie, wondering whether she'd notice I was taking better care of myself since the last time we'd met.
No. That wasn't why I was here. I was here for Mordred. To prove to her that I was still Galahad, that I could still be brave, young and adventurous. Just like Ezekiel. Not that he was any of those things. That was just what she thought he was. I'd prove that I was better.
Morgana would help me. If I was right, she still had a huge crush on me, she'd do anything. And I was hoping she'd feel so alone and desperate by now she'd do just about anything for a bit of company.
"Hello handsome," called a voice in between some giant, weather worn rocks. She emerged out of the little cove, slender and elegant, as if she'd risen from the sea water. She looked like the salty spray air personified, and her green eyes flashed at me flirtatiously. "Hello Morgana," I said, "I thought you'd want some company?" I asked, taking a seat on a rock so as to look calm.
She raised her arm, which glittered in the sunlight, and from it sprung a green spark that made a fire between us. "What do you want Galahad? I've already given my word I won't use magic. What more can you ask of me?" She said, batting her eyelashes as she came closer to me, the entire time the fire separating us.
"You broke that promise my dear," I said, a smile creeping across my face without my wanting it to, "you helped Mordred come back." I said. At the sound of her nieces name Morgana grinned cheekily. "She found you did she? How did you like her? I thought the waist was a little too wide but she insisted it was perfect. She didn't want you to think she'd changed." Morgana said, looking at me with disapproving eyes. She tutted, coming closer to the fire, looking more carefully at me.
"You want to be young again, don't you?" She asked, her voice almost mocking.
"Yes." I said, not wanting to say anything else.
"What do I get out of it?" She asked, clearly sensing my rising discomfort.
I thought for a moment. I hadn't expected she'd just accept my request. I must have made her so happy for coming to visit she wasn't thinking straight.I had to find something to give her. Something she'd like. But what do you get an ancient sorceress these days?
"Well?" She asked, clearly impatient as she rolled her eyes.
"Me," I said, suddenly realising what I'd have to do, "you get me."
