The sleeping mass on the bed spluttered a little, making the three of us watch as its eyes slowly opened. Eve, who'd been leaning on the back door, straightened up, ready to give Galahad a stern talking to. "What?" He tailed off,  sitting up slowly before running his hands down his body, as if he'd forgotten what had happened. Cassandra was close to me, and I could feel that she was nervous. I didn't blame her, many women had fallen for Galahad unashamedly good looks, but this was different. I knew she'd fancied him before he'd turned back time, but now he wasn't the man she thought she knew. She was conflicted, and I gave her a comforting glance before turning my attention back to the man in front of us.

He looked towards Cassandra, speechless, before turning to me. His eyes were different, though I knew I was the only one to notice this. While they were still the window into Jenkins, I also so the spark in them that signalled the arrival of Galahad, Camelot's most wanted Bachelor. These eyes burrowed into me, as if he thought he could read me like a picture book, but I'd lived far too long not to have learnt how to keep my thoughts from the knight.

Instead of trying to speak, Galahad stood up, attempting his charming smile before leaning towards me, affectively blocking my exit by backing me up against the table. Suddenly Cassandra moved, placing herself directly between Galahad and I, shielding me from him, while knowingly putting herself in the way of his lips. He was passionate for a moment until, I'm sure he'd realised that the height was wrong, and he opened his eyes. Shocked, he removed his face from Cassandra's not sure what to say. Cassandra though, didn't miss a beat.

Hands already on her hips, she looked at Galahad with deep disappointment. "I thought, Jenkins, that a true knight asked before kissing a lady," she said, her eyebrows furrowing darkly. I was very impressed, she was taking all this in the strongest way. Galahad's eyes widened and he began to whimper with shock at what he'd done. "Miss Killian, I am so sorry for my behaviour, I don't know what came over me," he said, and for a moment I saw Jenkins, as he put one hand behind his head, embarrassed. He sat back down on the bed, rubbing the back of his head and frowning, still muttering apologies under his breath.

I turned to Cassandra, still clearly impressed. I whispered so that Galahad couldn't hear me, "Are you alright Cassandra?" Cassandra nodded to me, and I couldn't help but give her a hug. "Thank you," I whispered.
"Hey, friends protect each other, right?" She whispered back.
