"I believe her guys, she's too, passionate about her story that she can't be lying. Or in any case, she believes completely in what she's saying," Cassandra said, breaking the silence that had followed my last remarks. I gave her a small smile, but she didn't look at me. Galahad looked warmly to Cassandra as well, stating, "I was there, and I can confirm every word she just said. And, Mr Stone, of the Grade 5 Miss Linna's class of 1986, I have an impeccable memory. Even back to my Camelot days," he added, and I could tell he was rather pleased with himself.

"So that's it?" Eve now continued, looking quite flummoxed at what she'd just heard. "It seems," Galahad said, "that like at Camelot, an important decision has come to a vote. Everyone for kicking out an innocent and possibly soon to be victim of the Serpent Brotherhoods?" He asked. Stone and Eve's hands shot up, while Cassandra's did not.

Rather pleased, Galahad spoke again, "Everyone for protecting the innocent and helping the Princess, my dearest friend?" He asked. Refraining from my own hand, I watched as Galahad raised his hand and Cassandra's arm shot up enthusiastically. "Ar, a tie. It seems that Mr Jones will have to decide Mordred's fate. Where is he?" Galahad asked, not realising Ezekiel had been listening to every word.

Ezekiel rose out of the shadows, looking almost weak and smaller than he had been, as if his courage had flown out of him. "I've heard everything, but Colonel Baird and Jacob are wrong," he said, making Eve's appearing grin turn to a grimace, "Mordred hasn't done anything to any of us. She stopped us from getting beaten up and kidnapped, she gave us some insight of Jenkins and how wrong some ancient literature can get, and frankly I admire how she's evaded recognition and the media altogether, considering she's been around so long," He said, looking into my eyes instead of evading them like the others had. I felt warm and I trusted the thief, though he seemed the least likely to back me up of the Librarians.

"I think Mordred deserves to stay. Considering she's also got valuable Serpent Brotherhood information," he said, the corner of his mouth curling so that only I would have noticed it. Eve and Stone had dropped their jaws, and Galahad suddenly had a spring in his step. As he passed them, he gently shut their gaping mouths, saying that "this is a library, not a cartoon," before heading out to make some more tea. Eve immediately rushed out of the room, plucking her phone from her pocket as she did so.

Stone took an even larger step away from the room, twirling the globe of the annex and going out the back door to anywhere away from us. Cassandra made a little excited jump and clap before returning to some books she had in front of her. It was only Ezekiel and I left. "Thank you," I whispered, so that Cassandra might not hear us. "No problem," Ezekiel said at the same volume, catching on immediately. I smiled. "Anyway, it's interesting to see Jenkins get so flustered over someone. Really shows he's got a heart," Ezekiel said, giving me a grin.

"He has got a heart, it's just only big enough or two people. Me and whoever tailors his suits for him," I smirked. Ezekiel let out a giggle, which I thought was adorable, "Do you think he'd freak if we saw where Stone went?" He asked, grinning mischievously.

"Do you want to see him become a panicking woman who's left her child with a nanny?" I asked.
"It's on my bucket list," he winked, "along with taking an ancient princess on a date," he said, grabbing my hand and leading me towards the big gold doors. We slipped through, Cassandra not even looking up to see us disappear through them.
