When Galahad had brought the tea everyone had quietness down, and I began to observe them more closely. Eve had taken Galahad aside and was now talking harshly to him. He looked hurt, though I couldn't understand why. Cassandra was busying herself with some papers on the desk, looking up once in a while and smiling at me.

Ezekiel was in the corner, red faced and embarrassed, not wanting to speak to anyone in case they'd bring up recent events. I felt sorry for him most of all, partly because I didn't warn him of that particular escape plan, but partly because I knew he didn't completely regret kissing me either. To be honest, I wasn't really regretting it either. I thought he was cute, so don't judge.

Stone had disappeared, off to clear his head or something, though I knew he was mortified. I could see in his eyes under the spell that he wanted to kiss Cassandra, but my power had stopped him, kissing me instead. One day I was going to have to bring those two together, my last quest.

"Colonel Baird she's hardly dangerous I don't see-," I heard Galahad raise his voice. "Jenkins, listen to me, out there I was meant to protect everyone, and she suddenly remembers she has this amazing power to help us! She's obviously not safe!" Eve growled, so loud that Ezekiel and Cassandra looked up to listen as well. Galahad was the only one that noticed this though.

"Colonel," he began again, softer so as to calm her down, "the point of the test was to prove to you that she would protect you from harm. All of you. Which she did."
"Jenkins I want her gone, she could've kept Jones and Stone in her spell for years, even forced them to do her bidding, and you just can't see that! She's a threatening, dirty, witch spawn just like her aunt and-,"

"No, Colonel Baird," Galahad's voice louder and overpowering Eves, making her take a step back, "she is the daughter of Arthur himself, I fought beside her, practically grew up with her. She would never ever try to hurt any of you. If you are insinuating that she is evil than you are implying that I am too. And I would never harm you either. That I am sure," Galahad finished, letting a silence wash over the room, Eve, Cassandra and Ezekiel looking stunned by his tone. Of course I had only heard that tone of Galahad's once, when he was speaking to his father, Lancelot. Now that had been an argument.

Galahad settled himself, before turning towards me protectively. That face was always my favourite. "Well, if no one's going to talk, I think you and I should catch up on the past," he said holding a hand out for me. I took it, walking past Eve quickly and following Galahad away from the main room. I held onto him, unsure of what to say, but wanting to huddle close to him, knowing that whatever happened in that room next, he'd be right beside me, protecting me, my own Guardian.
