"Galahad!" I screamed, watching Morgana stumble towards us. When we'd walked through the back door we'd seen a flash of light from halfway down the pebbled beach. Morgana had emerged a few seconds later, looking frazzled and exhausted, but we hadn't seen Galahad yet. I couldn't believe it, he really had given himself up to Morgana. For me.

"Jenkins," i heard Cassandra sniffle from behind me. I remembered how much he had meant to the Librarians, and i scolded myself for being so selfish. I turned around to Cassandra, wanting to say something comforting. Ezekiel already had a hand on her shoulder for support, and as i watched him he suddenly became wide-eyed with disbelief.

"Ezekiel?" i breathed, worried about him. He nodded to something in the distance behind me and i turned around. A way down the beach, from behind a cove of large rocks, came another figure. I knew the silhouette, but i couldn't make out whether Galahad looked as I remembered, or as he had grown into.

Morgana was still making her way steadily towards us, and I knew Galahad could hold on for a few minutes, so i lifted the dagger up towards my aunt. I knew she would be weak, so I had to do something to restrain her before she recovered from the youth transferal. "Morgana," I said, taking a moment to steady my voice, "What did he give you?" I asked.

Morgana frowned, before smiling triumphantly. "It was you, wasn't it?" she asked, "You were the reason he'd come to me, oh this is just rich." She managed a small smile, but i could see in her eyes she was gloating. "What did he give you?" I asked again, my voice now stronger as my Arthurian instincts kicked in after being dormant for so long.

"He gave me himself, forever he'll be my," Morgana said, looking for the word. I squinted at her cautiously. "Husband," she whispered, smiling again as if she could sense my distress.

"Galahad can't stay with you," I said, pointing my dagger at her throat.

"He promised, there's nothing you can do," she said, smiling still.

"He has to continue his work, the Librarians they, they need him Morgana," i managed to say, looking to Ezekiel for his support. He nodded at me, determination in his eyes that kept me going. "I know," Morgana said, "that's why i let him continue his work. He'll be staying with me, but also helping your new dolls." Morgana said, looking at Ezekiel, Cassandra and Eve.

"They're, not, dolls," I growled, feeling protective of the Librarians and their Guardian. Especially Ezekiel, who i could sense was all ready to charge towards Morgana using only his fists, which I knew he wouldn't in normal circumstances. I could feel an equal sense of protectiveness in him, but directed towards me.

"They're children compared to us my dear," Morgana said, smirking, "how long did you expect them to last? That's why Galahad bargained his life to be young again. He knew when you got sick of them you'd return to him. You're not strong enough to continue without him. He knew that." Morgana smiled.
