"I told him to leave that life alone Dwight, he told me he would stop and now my baby's gone! He could be somewhere floating in some lake right now!" My step mama cried to my ol boy.

We were in the living room. It's been a couple of days since OJ been missing. OJ a corner boy, and I'm praying to God he ain't dead somewhere. We may not be blood but he grew on me, he ain't that bad, he just chose to get that fast money instead.

"We have to call the police!" She said panicking.

"Cassandra, as much as I agree with that, he's 18, they won't do anything about it" my dad said trying to be reasonable. Even though what he saying was true and after she tells them what he's into, they definitely won't waste their time on looking for him. It's drug related, that's out the window. I don't even be on that street shit and I know that.

"What do you mean?! That's my son Dwight?! Act like he's Jason!!" She yelled with tears running down her face.

"Call the police Jay" my dad said while holding her as she cried in his chest.

I grabbed my phone, googling the non emergency police number. I mean, it's an emergency but they ain't gone do shit and even if I do call 911, they gone take almost an hour to get here. Once I called I spoke to the dispatcher telling her our problem and she told me an officer would be on the way. I told them and sat down on the single couch. As we waited I just was thinking hard like what could have possibly happened? What beef did he have that would've had him to go missing? But in that life, you don't have to be beefing with nobody for them to come at you... It could've been to hurt the headman and you could've been there at the wrong place at the wrong time. But during the day? OJ never worked at night and I know that cause he would have me to come over and chill with him.

There was a knock on the door and my stepmom went damn near sprinting to the door. My ol boy sighed, shaking his head while making his way to the door right behind her.

"Hello, I'm Officer Green and there was a call being made about a missing young man, was that you Mrs....." I heard the male officer say. I rolled my eyes, this nigga sound just like his last name.... green as hell.
