My feet hit the cold tile as I ran down the hall to my mothers room. I didn't waste no time knocking, I just opened the door rushing to jump on her bed.
"Ma! Ma! Get up, guess what today is mommy?" I asked shaking her all excited.
"Hmm, yes baby" she mumbled turning over, now facing me while rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
"Ma get up.... its queen day!!" I said kissing her on her lips.
She gave me a tight but genuine smile and pulling me to a hug.
"What did you get mommy?"
"Nope.... you have to get up first" I said folding my arms across my chest sitting on my knees. She did a light laugh and flipped the covers off of her going into the jointed bathroom in her room.
"I want to see you in the kitchen in five my queen" I said running out the room going back to the kitchen.
"She's up.... breakfast ready?" I whispered to my dad as if my mom could hear me. He chuckled looking down at me.
"Yea lil man" we just have to wait on her....
"Queeeeeeen!!!" I yelled to my mom, I was so excited to see what I got her and had set up for her. Well, my dad brought it and cooked but I helped.
"I'm coming, I'm coming RJ" she said coming towards the kitchen.
When she turned the corner her eyes almost popped out her head. There was a banner up in pink and gold which was her favorite colors in the kitchen that said "Happy QueenDay Mommy" with gold balloons that had the number 30 with regular pink balloons floating in the air. She had a half sheet Publix cake that was pink and gold that had one of my favorite pictures of her on it and it said "Happy Birthday To Our Beautiful Queen" and at the bottom of the picture it said "30 never looked so good" would you be surprised if I said this was all my idea? When it comes to my mom I could get creative. Plus, it's true, my mom looks nothing like 30. More like 23 if you ask me.
