Jake was walking upstairs to go to the weapons room, he wasn't really sure just how much ammo that'd be left in there, but it would be worth it just to have a few extra bullets. Reaching the top of the stairs he began walking down the long hall, that would've led through the living quarters and to the weapons room. On the way he walked past his own room and noticed that the door was wide open. He stopped right in front of it and saw that there was someone sprawled out on his bed. Peaking in through the door Jake walked in his room and slowly walked over to the bed.
As he got closer he heard that whoever it was, was breathing softly and but they were staying completely still. Jake leaned over the bed and gently turned the person over, his heart instantly warmed and a smile crawled across his face as he looked down at Elaine. She looked completely at peace with her long dark hair spread out across his pillow, Jake actually had half a mind to crawl in bed with her and wrap his arms around her. He slowly reached out and stroked her cheek with the back of his hand, and he felt a small spark pass through his hand and travel through his body just by touching her. Taking in a deep breath he leaned down and pecked her on the cheek, and for several moments he stayed like that simply enjoying the contact. Finally he tore himself away from Elaine and smiled down at her.
From behind him Jake heard a voice, that nearly made him jump. "Do you love her?" The voice asked and Jake turned around to see Issac standing in the doorway.
Jake hesitated and looked down at Elaine before turning around and answering. "Of course I do."
"Than do yourself a favor," Issac said. "Kill Stark tonight."
Turning back around to look at Elaine. "Trust me you don't need to remind me." Jake said before sighing and stood up, and reached inside his pocket pulling out a little gold chain that he'd gotten in Terra. Biting his lip he reached underneath Elaine's head and clasped it around her neck before giving her a quick kiss. "Ti amo, per sempre e sempre."
As soon as Jake finished those words, he felt a cold hand on his arm. Spinning around he saw Issac standing there unsurprisingly, and his eyes were bright and he looked agitated. "Jake...I'll say this once. Don't ever say something like you might not come back again. Now listen, you do whatever you gotta do, to come back to her."
Jake looked into Issac's eyes and he remembered that Issac had personal experience with Stark taking away loved ones. Taking a deep breath he nodded, and followed the vampire out of his room. "Hey Issac why don't you come with me to the weapons room. Who knows maybe you'll find something that you can actually use."
Walking into the weapons room and he felt a little self conscience having Issac in a room filled with things that were made specifically to kill others like him. Walking over to a long table that was full of boxes that were filled top to bottom with Slayer clips. Flipping open on of the boxes Jake began taking out clips of bullets and placing them in various places all over his body. Noticing Issac looking at him with curious eyes, Jake closed the box before walking over to Issac who was now looking over some savage looking axes.
Moving to stop Issac from touching an axe. "Whoa there you don't want to be touching those." Jake said getting between Issac and the blades. "They're meant specifically for killing Goliaths, and for some reason just touching the blade will cause severe burning."
Sighing Issac shrugged his slender shoulders. "Well than may as well get me outta here than since I only liked those things." He said pointing at the axes.
Feeling awkward again, Jake turned slipped from between Issac and walked over to the door of the weapons room. Not looking around to see if Issac was following him-the sound of footsteps behind him hinted that he was-he went through the door and more or less jogged down the hallway. He paused briefly to see if Elaine had woken up yet, she hadn't , letting out a soft disappointed sigh he reached inward and closed the door.
