Issac was reluctant to put his Witch Cycle away but unfortunately he really wasn't given much of a choice. Issac walked into the church pausing for a moment just as he was about to take a step in the doorway.
"Wait a sec," he said and the others turned around and looked at him, "Am I able to step in here? I mean it is holy ground, this isn't a trick to make me burn is it?"
"Now why would we do that you'e our only real hope of finding these vampires in time," Ray said and pushed Issac in the the church, and he instantly threw his arms up when nothing happened he lowered them and looked at the others blankly. "See you've got nothing to worry about, not as long as you got that on you." Ray pointed to the place Issac's heart was.
Issac put his hand over his heart, the mark Ray put on him had been a terrible burning pain but he refused to let a Saint see him cry out in pain. Still the mark was burning but only slightly and Issac was wondering just what it was that the mark did to him. As the others went deeper into the church Issac grabbed Ray for a moment before the witch went any further.
"It'll be dawn soon Ray," Issac said in a firm voice, "I haven't been able to drink my light formula-"
"Oh yes I had nearly forgotten about that," Ray said half amused and reached into the jacket pocket, "Here, I made it in a hurry so it's not for the full 14 hours your used to but it'll last long enough-"
"So this mark only grants me passage into churches," Issac asked half disappointed.
"Oh it does a little more than that don't worry," Ray said toneless, "Oh, I see. You were hoping it would allow you to walk around in the daylight weren't you?"
When Issac didn't answer Ray put a soft reassuring hand on his shoulder. As he did Issac caught a smell pass through his nose a familiar smell, where had he smelled this before? Ray realizing Issac was taking in his scent drew his arm back to fast for Issac to place the smell.
"No magic in the world has that kind of power Issac," Ray said turning around, "Even if there was such a spell, it's probably only given to the most trusted of witches. I've done some...questionable things in my life so I'd hardly call myself a trusted witch."
"But this Saint seems to-" Issac was about to say but Ray had ignored him and began walking after the others, and Issac added to himself, "Now even I'm curious about your face," and Issac followed after the witch.
Issac finally entered the study, must've followed the freshest scent Jake thought. Jake had taken a seat next to Lance and Will had come to join the group, Issac looked slightly uncomfortable as everyone was looking at him he walked over to a chair at the far end of the coffee table and sat down. As Issac sat down all eyes shifted to Father Matthew waiting for him to speak.
"Well," Father Matthew began addressing Issac, "First let's bring you up to speed and than you fill in what blanks you can."
Issac nodded and listened intantly as Father Matthew explained to him the murders and the signs of more than just four vampires at work. As Jake watched Issac he began to notice slight changes in his expression, as he listened to the part about what was found in St. Agnes. Jake also noticed the slightest of smile make it's way on his face as Father Matthew described how Jake and Lance had killed them. Finally a look of curiosity took hold of him as Father Matthew told him of the latest orders that were given to him and Sister Mary.
"So that is our situation," Father Matthew said setting down hi tea. "Is there anything you'd like to add to it?"
"Well first off," Issac said leaning forward and propping his elbows on his knees, and looking over to Jake and the others. "I must say I don't think it's very wise to send a child, a novice, and a cub to deal with an entire clan of vampires. However I think it'll do you good to have someone who truely understands how to fight a vampire, the methods you Saints use are sufficient enough as long as you're dealing with regular old vampires. When it comes to more dangerous breeds such as Goliaths and Raish vampires, your standard approach will do you no good."
