Okay here it is. The end of Solitude. But don't worry this isn't the end of our story.  Vote and comment spread the word. And be on the look out for book two. But I haven't decided on a Title so send in requests. Enjoy :)

Lance was walking along the Straight Corner shop about four blocks away from the church. He'd decided he'd pop in there once he was done here, he hadn't seen hide nor hair of Jake or Will since the night of the fight. Ahead of him he saw a taller figure in a long coat exit the store, he glanced in Lance's direction before cutting across the feet and disappearing into the crowd.

Shrugging he proceeded to the shop, he had been charged with getting medical supplies for the pack. Though I thought that I needed the supplies more than anyone else since I went all twelve rounds with my mother. But I didn't argue with Louis or Merrick.

Both the Lobos and the Wolfhounds had suffered big losses. We'd lost over eighteen good werewolves, in the fight at the airport. And we lost eight cubs, and ten elders in an attack that happened while we were away. So in all we lost thirty-six pack members. The pack was still a huge one with over five dozen still remaining, but the feeling of dread with all the friends lost. Among them was Maria's best friend Kayla. We'd found her after the battle with her throat torn out and her stomach ripped open. Maria threw herself into my arms and cried for two hours straight. I'd held her tightly to my chest for every second, hating myself for being thankful that she hadn't been killed.

Sighing at the memory of it I walked into the shop and breathed in that sweet aroma of 'Human Bust' that always filled the shop. He thought for a minute about buying some of it for the pack, maybe a good smell would help cheer them up. He quickly dismissed the idea knowing full well he only had enough money for the medical supplies. He went up to the counter and tapped the bell twice. Instantly an elderly voice called from the back.

"One moment I'll be right there."

Lance leaned on the counter and tapped on it with both hands waiting for the shopkeeper. He took a deep breath, pausing as he noticed another werewolf smell. Leaning down to the counter he began sniffing, the smell felt familiar but not at the same time, if that made any sense. He found himself inhaling the scent so deeply that he didn't even notice the old man behind the counter.

"Excuse me," the old man said, causing Lance to shoot away from the counter feeling slightly embarrassed. The old man found this funny as his laughed at Lance. "Welcome to the Straight Corner lad. How may I be of service to you?"

"Oh," Lance said feeling his face grow hot, he reached into his pocket and produced an envelope. "Are you Jack Schtance?"

"I am indeed," Jack said with a nod of his ancient looking head, making his beard go below his waist. "May I ask who's asking?"

"Merrick Kendrik and Louis Charles," Lance said sliding the envelope forward to Jack. "There's $4,000 in there."

"Oh my what could they possibly want," Jack said picking up the envelope and looking in it before setting it down. "Does this have to do with that fight at the LAX?"

Lance nodded, and Jack stroked his beard and nodded before saying. "I thought that it was their pack when I heard about it from my grandson-in-law." To that Lance was puzzled but he took out the letter with the list of supplies, to his surprise Jack held up a hand. "Don't worry I know what they need. Tell them it'll be there within an hour will you?"

Lance looked to the side. But I might not be there in an hour. Finally he nodded. "Okay sure. But hey can I possibly as how much a stick of Human Bust is?"

Jack smiled. "Tell you what I'll give you a banquet of Human Bust flowers for free."

Lance was startled. "But sir why flowers?"
