"So you literally ran into a tree?" Paige asked, looking at my bruise.

"Y-yes I did, and it hurt because something came out of the tree and hit me in the head." I said.

I hated lying I really did but I just had to do it for the one time.

Well, I have lied multiple times and I really suck at it but I think this time it was going pretty well.

"And may I ask what that thing that fell out of the tree was?" Lauren asked, sitting at the lunch table.

I looked over to where the geeks were seating.

Daren Fortener was holding a briefcase.

"A b-broom----oh! I mean a briefcase!" I stammered and raised my voice, hitting my head with my palm.

"A briefcase?!" They both said at the same time in unison.

They looked at each other, scoffed, then looked back at me.

"Yes- a- briefcase my dudes." I coughed.

Help me lie.

Person! I know! Gosh why don't you just shut the hell up sometimes?

Okay...

"What was in it?"

"I didn't open it up to see..." I mumbled.

They both sighed.

Lauren looked at her watch, then at her food, then at Paige, then at me.

Then Paige did the same thing.

Suddenly, they both linked arms and gathered their stuff up.

"We can't eat lunch today." Paige started as they both got up.

"But I'm gonna be alone-"

"Kensley, stop whining! It's just lunch! We aren't dying or anything. We'll see you after school....hopefully." Lauren rolled her eyes at me before leaving with Paige.

I watched as they walked out of the cafeteria and down back to the school building.

I sighed and picked at my food.

You can't just sit alone, they'll think you're a loner-

Like I'm not already! Look at me! I don't even have real friends!
