Silence filled the room. There was an atmosphere which wasn't very welcoming.
At the head of the Dining Table, in a grand chair, sat the King, your father. Zelda sat further down the table, closer to you. Link sat opposite you, stealing glances every now and then.King Rhoam cleared his throat,"How was Zora's Domain, (Y/N)?" You placed your cutlery onto the plate, showing you were finished.
"It was lovely, father," You took in a breath,"it's truly a beautiful place. And Princess Mipha is lovely."
"It is not Mipha you should be concerned about," He said harshly,"it is your betrothed, Sidon."
You stood up forcefully, your chair almost toppling over.
"I am very aware of that," You spat,"may I be excused?""I suppose so. You're excused." He waved his hand and dismissed you.

"Oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess, unite earth and sky, bring light to the land. Oh youth, show the two whirling sails to the Light Tower... and before you a path shall open, and a heavenly song you shall hear." You sang to yourself on your balcony. You were wearing a thin white dress, suitable for a night gown. Your hair was in a very intricate braid.
"That's a very ancient song,"Said a female voice beside you. You assumed it was Zelda,"where did you learn it?"
"I read a book about Ancient Hyrule," You said, your gaze never leaving the fountain that sat in the centre of Castle Town,"it was a song dedicated to the Goddess Hylia."
Zelda giggled,"That's right," Said your sister,"and you sing it beautifully."
You broke your gaze off of the fountain and turned to Zelda. For no reason, your eyes began to fill with tears. Soon, they leaked down your face.
"I don't want any of this, Zel. I don't want to marry Sidon. I don't want to be imprisoned in this Castle. I want to explore, fall in love with whom I wish...I want to live." Soon your cries became uncontrollable sobs. You fell into Zelda's arms. She rubbed soothing circles on your back, hushing like a mother would her child.
"I can talk to father, we can try break this off-"
"No, it won't work! It won't work! He'll force me to marry Sidon!"
"Sidon is very understanding, try talking to him, (Y/N)."
"What do I say? 'Sorry, Sidon. I don't want to marry you.'"
You sighed,"I don't know. I'm going to bed."

Today was a day of boredom. Zelda and Link were with you, trying to find means of entertainment, but nothing seemed to work. You were too wrapped up in your 'Royal Problems' to cheer up.
"(Y/N)? You in there?" Link said, throwing a paper ball at your head. You were all sat in the library, Zelda was researching Ancient Technology, Link was annoying you (playfully) and you had your head in a book.
"Really?" You couldn't help but feel a smirk rise on your lips.
"Aha! I did it!" He exclaimed.
"Did what?" Zelda whispered.
Link took the hint and whispered back,"She smiled!"
Zelda laughed at Link's excitement and looked at you. It was true, you had a large smile on your face as you sat next to Link, talking about the book you were reading. She saw how happy Link made you. A sad smile formed on her lips.
"Zelda, I can't read," You said innocently. You realised what you said and decided to elaborate,"I mean, it's in old Hylian! I can't decipher it! I think it's from...the Era Of The Sky?"
She laughed and said,"I'll help you."
