"Sam retrieved the file of his yesterday, Brookyn." I told her as she got a shower.
"Good. I'm really not wanting to do anything today. Maybe I should've stayed on desk duty."
"Well you wouldn't've gotten shot." I muttered. The water turned off. "And you wouldn't be clothes less in the room beside me with the door open."
"I hope you know I can hear you, Captain Rogers." Brooklyn giggled from the bathroom as she got dressed.
"Well." I chuckled. Brooke came out of the bathroom with a black short sleeve dress. The top buttons were open, revealing her..... Yeah.
"Again, Captain Rogers. Oogling me." She lightly smacked my shoulder.
"My bad, Ms. Brooklyn." I felt my face get hot.
"You've forgotten that you've seen me naked, haven't you, Steven?" She asked, looking into my eyes. I looked away and brushed my hair down with my hand. "You don't need to be so nervous, Captain."
"I'm- I'm not nervous."
"Oh sure. That explains why you're avoiding eye contact with me and your cheeks are basically red." I looked down at my hands. Damn it. "Steven. If I make you uncomfortable in any way, just tell me. I know this is all new to you and I don't want to be too.... Overwhelming."
"I'm fine, Brooke." I shrugged.
"Have you ever kissed a girl before me, Steven?" She asked softly.
"I'm ninety eight, Brooklyn. Not dead." I chuckled. "But yeah. Peggy." I wasn't counting the other woman who kissed me and Natasha kissed me for a cover up.
"I'm sorry, Captain."
"Don't be, Brooke. Its fine." I stood up, slipping on my black jacket. Brooke walked to me, a faint smile on her face.
"I love how your cheeks get all pink and red when you get embarrassed." She wrapped her tiny, but muscular arms around my neck.
"Well that makes one of us. I shouldn't be getting embarrassed in front of you. I've known you for going on four years." I put my hands on her small waist and kissed her lips.
"Things change between people when their relationship becomes a level higher than before."
"I love your accent, Agent Romero."
"I love your eyes and your smile, Captain Rogers." My hand went to the back of her neck, pushing our lips together. Without warning, the door opened. Brooklyn and I looked over to see Sam starting to close the door. "Hello, Agent Wilson. How's your morning?" Brooklyn asked, dropping her arm to her sides.
"Well....... Pretty good...... We're waiting for you two. And I can see why."
"There's a thing called knocking, Sam. Its been around for over ninety years." I chuckled.
"Yeah. I'll invest in that. Come on." Sam closed the door.
"That was embarrassing." I let go of Brooklyn's waist and held the door for her. "Come on."
"Thank you, Captain Rogers." She nodded before leaving. I followed her out to the living room.
"I don't wanna be with the kids. They aren't fun." Sam groaned.
"I do recall you saying they were fun because they believe everything you say, Mr. Wilson." Brooke said.
"Why are you the boss anyways?" Bradley asked.
"I do believe I was the only female put on this team, Mr. Bradley. I have more experience than you've had and I know what I'm doing." Brooklyn watched him. "Will you three be okay without an agent with you?"
