THIRD PERSON
Brooke found out she was being moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where she would be training new SHIELD agents and run the mini academy down there.
She became depressed, though never told anyone. It was easy to make friends, acquaintances really, but nothing like what she had with Bucky or with Sam. But even new friends didn't fill the spot in her she needed to be filled.
She lost a large amount of weight, though she stayed in great shape with her morning jog.
But everything seemed to remind her of Steve. She never took the ring off. Every agent asked why she'd wear a ring and she'd reply that it means something to her, something that gave her hope, courage, and love, yet also a smile when she looks at it, just as the man she loved had given to her.
Brooklyn lived in her own house now, with three cats of which she named Snowy, Wings, and Stars. Snowy was completely white but had black circles around his eyes, reminding her of Bucky when he would wear his makeup. Wings was just a name given to the cat because it had dark eyes and jet black fur, reminding her of Sam's dark brown eyes. And Stars was simply named Stars because he was a yellow tabby with white spot on its forehead.
They had taken the places of the three people she kept close to her heart.
Brooke wasn't allowed to talk to her remaining family.
She had to take on a new name, Bailey Ray.

The Super Soldier had become a little less bright then he normally was. If he ever smiled, it was a sad smile. He had Fury put him on mission after mission, just so Cap could keep his mind off Brooklyn.
Bucky and Sam missed Brooklyn. The apartment seemed a little less cheerful then when Brooklyn was around.
Director Fury kept in contact with Brooke. He'd tell her how Steve was doing. But she didn't want Steve to linger on her absents, so she requests that Fury not tell anything of her to Steve.
The love had grown stronger through the whole situation of Brooklyn's tesseract issues.
There's a quote and it goes like this.
"When two hearts are made for each other, no distance is too far, no time is too long, and no other love can break them apart."
