"So, you have no memory of attacking us?" Giggles asked, watching intently as Flippy wrapped bandages around Cuddles' neck. Flippy shook his head. He didn't dare open his mouth.
"And, you don't remember attacking Lumpy in the woods?" She continued, receiving the same reply.
Finally, he'd finished patching everyone up, using plasters, bandages, disinfectants, you name it. Seeing as they weren't soldiers, he wasn't sure how fragile they were. I mean, they didn't do well in a fight. What's their pain tolerance? How much can they take? Are they dying?
Flippy was dragged out of anxious thoughts by Lumpy awkwardly clearing his throat. No one knew what to say. This wasn't the type of thing that happened daily. Feeling anxious, Flippy moved into the corner, sitting against the wall. He remained silent, even as his friends glared questioningly at him. Still, no one spoke to him, making small talk with eachother. They just decided to give him time to think. All except Flaky.
The red porcupine kept looking at him. He just sat there, staring off, expression showing lethargy and sorrow. Flaky bit her lip, painfully pushing herself off of the sofa.
"You shouldn't get up," Flippy stated, voice dull, not even turning to look at her. However, Flaky was undeterred, still shuffling over to him. Flippy didn't repeat himself, just listening to her taking unsteady, fearful steps. Finally, she reached him. The bear sighed, standing up, and facing Flaky. She jumped, absolutely terrified. Yet, she stood her ground, eyes, teeth, and hands clenched, preparing for the worst. She whimpered as she felt a paw touch her shoulder, involuntarily quivering under her friend's touch. She felt the paw jerk back, and she opened an eye. Flippy was biting his lip, head lowering in uncertainty. Before Flaky could apologise, Flippy grabbed her again, placing one paw on her upper back, and one behind her knees. Without a second to protest, Flaky felt herself lifted off the ground, making her wince, and her eyes close once again.
Feeling Flippy moving, she wondered where he was taking her. That was, until she was placed leerily onto the sofa. Her eyes opened, seeing Flippy hurrying off back to the corner.
"No!" She whimpered, grabbing his sleeve. The veteran practically leapt out of his skin. He turned to her, eyes wide. This wasn't what he was expecting.
"... Flaky... let go..." he grumbled, gently tugging his arm, too scared to pull roughly."Flippy, please. It wasn't your fault, you shouldn't punish yourself!" Flaky pleaded, yanking him harsher.
"...Flaky..." he growled in warning, his ears flattening.
"Flippy, ple-"
"GET OFF!" Flippy yelled, tearing his arm out of her grasp, unintentionally hurting her. She yelped, holding her pained arms. Flippy whimpered, seeing he'd hurt her again. Sighing, he left the room, shutting himself in his bedroom.

Everyone had fallen asleep. All except, you guessed it, Flaky. She was too scared to. What if Flippy... done that again. She winced just thinking about it. Flippy hadn't left his room since he yelled at Flaky. He hadn't even made a peep.
Hesitantly, she crept her way towards his bedroom, peeking in. The veteran sat there, curled in a corner, his blanket draped over himself, as if he was trying to hide himself. She tapped on the door, Flippy's ears twitching in response.
"F- Flippy?" She whimpered.
